Balloon Boy's Dad as a new Bear Scratcher out on the market. Mr Heene's says 50 cents of each sale will go to the Salvation Army. Will you buy his back scratcher? If not why not?

I am a nurse and you know what as much as possible you should stay away from those plastic scratchers because it destroys the integrity of your skin thus makes the bacterias entry a lot easier.Sounds bad right?

Besides getting my husband to scratch my back when I need it; do you suggest a type of back scratcher that is healthy to use? Just in case anyone is reading this discussion it would be a good thing to have an ulternative back sratcher for them to get that would not jepordize the skin like you mentioned above?

In instances like this I give them what I can afford to give and ask them to keep the item they are selling so they can get more money. I'd rather do this and let them sell that item and more to other people. Although some times I could use a back scratcher, lol.

Right, that is me too. I need a back scratcher from time to time. Although I am not tempted to buy from the balloon guy I wonder how many will be tempted to buy it? A previous commentor in the discussion said she is a nurse and this plastic scratcher wouldn't be a healthy choice. It makes me wonder what would be considered a healthy choice for a back scratcher?

CNN did a few minutes on Mr Keene and his back scratcher last night. I am sure I won't be buying it even though I think it is a good idea for some people.
