Tech Doctor Deals - TDD stands for Tech Doctor Deals

A lot of changes have been made at Tech Doctor Deals lately especially when it comes to financial matters. Some claimed the site used to pay $1.00 for a post. Then it became 75cents per post. Then when I joined, they were already giving only 30cents. Still not bad. Now, they are imposing new rates. I have predicted this! :) (In my previous post or reply to a post) They will now be paying 15cents per post and 40cents per thread. Still not bad! Right? If you are a Premium member, you will need to pay $9.99 (another rate for the non-recurring, I think $14.99). So with the current rate, to break even, you need to start 25 threads or create 67 posts. That is just to cover the monthly fee. If you want to reach cashout, (minimum is $50), you need an additional 334 posts or 125 threads to start. That's on top of the number of posts or threads I have mentioned to break even. Well, if you already have tons of referrals, lucky YOU! :) I am merely computing this for one who doesn't have a referral. That is a reality for a lot of people too. So, now you decide if Tech Doctor is a good investment or not? :)

Looks like now the site has removed the option of being a premium member. All members are same at the site and they have an equal opportunity of earning. This is what I expected too.

I personally do not like this site. They change the rules all the time, and while some people have get paid, some people face a lot of weird issues with it too (I can't request pay out, for instance). So I think it started out well, but I have no idea of what it will turn into in the end, and I don't really like that. So even though I am a member, I have stopped posting there.

I quite agree with Pucca. While the rules changing so fast and so often is a concern, for most part I can understand the changes made. However some of the rules they have chosen to implement are quite mind-blowing to say the least. I do like some of the topics they have there, which is probably the reason I'll stick around but will see how it goes.

Hi pucca and naoko! :) The admin can't keep up with the changes they have been implementing that's why they are messing up. :) I just received my $10 yesterday and I haven't been doing anything there lately. I haven't referred anyone and I don't want to pay money just to earn money. @pucca, did you try to request just recently? Because the button to request payout for non-Premium was gone since last week. And when they announced only Premium members can cashout was supposed to take effect starting November. @naoko, yes some topics are quite useful. Not considering if it's a paying site or not, you can still learn a lot from there. :)

Yes, lalay, it was kind of recently, and right before they made that change regarding non premium members, so I think there was a connection. Now I heard that it is possible for non premium members to get money out again, so I might try again now, let's see..

In order to start making money, is it really necessary to pay the amount to earn? Well, I have saw some other fellow mylotters indicating that TDD pays. But is it really worth the trouble. It seems to be another labor intensive online opportunity. Is there any other deliverable or value add to earning online? I would not say whether it is a good investment or not. Investment should not be someone that you have to put in effort. It is about putting your money where the risk is and in turn gets return. In this case, a more correct term should be buying a job. Cheers

Hi arcideaco! I also believe that you don't need to shell out cash just for you to earn some cash. For some people, they wouldn't mind paying the $9.99 per month for the premium membership. Maybe they have tons of referrals or have a lot to discuss about. For me, it is not a risk I am willing to take since I'm not sure if I can put that much effort of creating much discussions. I have been here in myLot for how many months already but I haven't created much discussions. I only come here when I want to. Thank you for coining a more appropriate term - "Buying a job" :)

Hi yugasini! A thread is when you start a new discussion while a post is when you reply to a thread. If you're ready to pay for monthly premium membership for $9.99 and you think you can manage the amount of posts you need to create, then maybe this is for you.

I just accessed my account today and they made a new announcement again. TDD will be paying premium members $.20 per post on general discussion and $.25 on tech categories. I think admin heard the complaints of the majority and made this adjustments right away. As for me, I will observe things and if this doesn't work for me then I will have to close my account with them. However, I'm not seeing any option to close it. So, my plan B is to change my PayPal email address so I will not be charged a monthly recurring fee.

Hi ip! Thanks for the update. Better rates than I've mentioned above. But it's disappointing news again for non-Premium members since their rates are lower. The site is changing a lot in such short time.
