I WAS a perky person for most of my life.
My stepfather described me as "the original smiley face". I know that some people wouldn't have had any problem strangling me but I just couldn't help it. Even when things in my life weren't going so well, I was still upbeat and perky as long as I got my mind off my problems. Sometimes, being perky actually helped me get through some of the bad problems and, believe me, I've had plenty! Still do, as a matter of fact. Tomorrow morning I'm going in to have my toes operated on. Not my big toes, the ones next to them. They're ingrown and have been driving me batty with one infection after another and non-stop pain. But, I still have a smile on my face, especially around strangers.
I'm sorry. Please don't beat me up.

Thanks so much, for not beating me up and for the well wishes tomorrow.
This isn't any biggie, a mere inconvenience. I had a cervical spine discectomy just two months ago. THAT took the smile off my face for a bit but I got through that just fine so tomorrow will be a piece of cake.

Being happy is something we all like to strive for. Some people do go to extremes with their happiness and go a little out of control. i have never found myself in a situation that i thought that someone needed to be beat up for being happy. We are all entitled to show how we feel.

well hello!
but you are making it seem that i'm saying its a bad thing to be happy.
i stated that some people are overly happy an it could be quite annoying.

I'm the kind of person you would feel annoyed for being too happy. It's in my nature to smile and not be sad, as I like to smile and look on the better side of things. On another hand, it's also a great way to change people's moods. Those who are too depressed who get annoyed by people being "happy" usually then turn their moods to target that other person instead of themselves. This makes it easier for people help them out of their depression.
Not sure if I'm coming across clearly though.

i understand clearly.
and i can assure you just because people aren't the perky type, they aren't depressed either.
i'm quite by nature. your happy by nature.
just the difference between people in this world, is what makes us all unique.
thanks for sharing!

I have encountered this several times in my life and well I have to remember the consequences later so basically I take deep breaths and tell the person I have to remove myself from their presence.

My resbond absolutetly is no.
Frankly speaking,I am very “diffidence” which means sometimes I cannot put my emotion express to others by face or body language,I just stand it and bear it myself or talk person who is my best friends~that is ok~
So I don't think I will unhappy if I beat someone~LOL
