How adventurous are you in ordering food?

I love to try any different foods. I have just returned from two weeks holiday in Menorca where it was all inclusive - it was fantastic to be able to try a little of everything without the worry of buying something that you may not like. I have enclosed a photo of my favourite food in Menorca - grilled squid, it is oozing in garlic butter and is totally delicious!!

I'm proud to say I'm the trend setter in my group :) Whenever we go to a new restaurant, they order something very conservative and let me try out something new and tell them if it's good or not. When we go to the same restaurant often - such as the place where we're having lunch at work from time to time - I end up trying everything on the menu. Truth is, I haven't stumbled upon anything really bad in ages. (I also don't have any foods that I don't touch, except for eggplant salad, I eat everything else. Ok, maybe not bugs, but we don't have those on the menu over here.) Sometimes there are dishes I won't order a second time, but nothing I had to send back because I couldn't eat it.

I'm not very adventurous when ordering food when i'm out because i tend to choose simple things that i know that i'll like instead of choosing something different and trying it hoping that i'll like it. I generally order something with a burger or chicken.

Similar as you, because I have my favorite food list so whenever I want to go to restaurant I usually come ordering the same food. Not exactly always same, I have about 5 favorite menu, if today I order menu number one, probably another occasion I'll order menu number 3 or number 4, randomly chosen to avoid boring situation with same food. About the restaurant I also quite picky, only came to the one that I already tried & comfortable with. Not an adventurous one for sure but if only to try new food is okay.

I am not very adventurous when it comes to ordering food. I order the same thing every time or things that I am familiar with. I want to enjoy what I order, not try something new and end up not liking it plus wasting money. However, my boyfriend is the more adventurous and he always orders something different and I'll just grab a bite from his plate and share.

I actually tend to order the usual, although I'm not a picky eater. Sometimes if I am sick of it, I will order something random. I had never thought about it until you posted this, ha ha! But yeah, I actually always get some kind of sampler, and it's almost always the same one.

I like to be adventurous in my food choices. If it has something that I'm certain I dont' like in it then I'll pass on it but, if it sounds good, it HAS to taste good, right? The only time I'm not adventurous is if I'm TOTALLY craving something in particular. Altho, when I go to Olive Garden, I ALWAYS get the seafood alfreado... SOOOOOOOOO yummy!!!!!!!!!!!! SOMETIMES, I just can't choose and I'll tell the wait staff "I want either *this meal* or *this meal* surprise me!" and let THEM choose!

When dining out especially in expensive restaurant, I would rather make it sure it will not spoil my apetite. I won't let it waste my money therefore I would prefer food I know I'll enjoy and would worth my money.

I usually like to order foods that are my favorite. if something new looks good and appealing to me, only then will i be adventurous in eating.

i often catch myself ordering familiar food and when i do i review the menu and try to order something different. it may turn out that i don't like the new dish after all but that's the only way to find out. so next time i know what not to order. i'm willing to try new things and get out of my comfort zone once in a while

I like trying out new dishes.It's true that we may ruin the dinner if we try out the new ones.But I'd rather risk ruining one than sticking to "the usual".You can never tell how well or bad it tastes.If it is tasty,then it will become one of "the usual".I don't want the same limited kinds of dishes in my life.I prefer to enlarge the list whenever possible. If I crave for the favourite one,then I will just order it.But not for every day. Have a nice day!

I always try something new and different taste every meal outside the home and if I've felt and I was not feeling the usual message aja but still a favorite meal that's all that I message not changed at all let alone to drink just the same ...

It all depends who I am with when dining out. If I'm with family or friends, we always have this notion to try out something new because we seldom go out together. But if I'm alone and I just want to "date myself" (which I used to do before I got into a relationship), I just order the usual stuff that I like and not be adventurous in case I end up throwing up or having digestion problems with what I ordered. haha...

I'm a more adventurous eater. I like it hot, so if they have something really spicy, that may be my choice. Friday's inferno wings are one I like, and a local burrito joint has a XXX Habanero salsa that i enjoy. Most other restaurants can't come close to hot enough for me, so I don't even try and just get something else that looks good. Try anything once is my motto. But I can't get my wife to go with me to the more adventurous restaurants - Indian, Thai, etc... I went on a trip to Israel a few years ago, and the food was great! Nothing too adventurous, but some different... the gyro shops on the sidewalk cut your meat right off of a huge slab of lamb that was hanging in open view, so deelish!

Hi. thebassdude. I like to try out different things. I only will try out foods that I know that I will love and enjoy. Any food that seems odd, I will not try at all.

I like to discover new tastes, new ways of preparing the ingredients because I love to cook. So when I dineOut, I prefer to go to a restaurant that serves food that I don´t know how to prepare. At the restaurant I ask the waiter as much as I can about the different dishes while ordering and usually prefer something exotic.
