Do you have a routine on mylot?

October 31, 2010 10:37am CST
Most days I try to mix things but I generally stick to posting to my friends before I respond elsewhere. I like to keep tabs on new members and discussion without any responses, as I like to think it will help settle members and give them some encouragement to continue. I have to be more careful these days around here, as I notice many discussion tend to be removed. Do you have a routine on mylot? What makes you choose which discussions you respond to? I respond to any I feel I can add to, I like making sure that my time isn't going to be waste on discussion which will only get deleted. One reason why having friends here who post quality discussion on a daily basis, as I really enjoy engaging with people.

I wish I had more time for mylot but I am just so stressed with writing, and now I lost my beautiful cat, I just am too stressed out and overworked.

Take it easy winterose and relax a little, you work hard enough around here and it's time you took a little vacation especially if your stressed. Is your cat chipped? I really hope you find the cat safe and sound. ~Joey

Usually, I look for new discussions, recently started, which still don't have too much responds. Afterwards, I search some discussions within my interests. At last, I check up my friends discussions. But many of them already got so many responds that I get lost reading what other mylotters posted and when I realize the time I spent reading I already have to log out to go for work or to realize other things...

I tend to respond first then read after, sometimes I will read the discussion fully and see if any of my friends have responded. You can spend a lot of time here doing nothing but reading, I know what you mean about that. Thanks for sharing your routine :)

LOL, I read far more than I ever comment on. By that I mean that I may read 200 discussions over a few weeks and find one that I enjoy and want to participate in, like this one.

Well my routine starts with my email since all of my friends discussions are sent there. I have hundreds sitting there and I go through each and everyone, eventually. What I look for though first are my favorite mylotters here. They usually don't start many discussions but when they do, they are quite interesting. I can generally tell if the discussion will be deleted and depending on the discussion I may or may not reply, if it's a new member and they are asking for info I will respond and provide link to information along with "this discussion maybe deleted as it violates the guidelines". I rarely see those messages in my inbox that your response was delete. I'm very choosey about the discussions I respond too and unless I feel that my response can add to the discussion I skip it for the most part. I always have mylot up on my computer but rarely check on other types of discussions. I have to many discussions in my inbox the past several months. This one for instance just getting to in my inbox. I also like to read through all responses in the discussion before responding. I look for a few mylotters when responding so that I can pop into their response box. I like discussions that I can try to keep up a discussion and find that dertain response boxes I can do that with. My routine has changed over the years, mostly due to everyday life. Sometimes it allows me to be here more often than others. As for what discussions I respond to are the ones that catch my interest, that I can understand and that have value to me. I respond to discussions that I feel the discussion starter is actually interested in what I have to say.

I'm like you, I like to switch it up. But mainly the areas I go under are "my interests" and "friends started". I can usually find a boatload of good discussions to respond to there. Sometimes I prefer to start discussions, in bulk, and other times I just want to respond..Today might be my "responding" day lol.

Cool maezee :) I tend to respond more than I start, past couple of days I've been getting into it but with low turn outs. (not really bothered) Just nice to see responses like this come up in my discussions. Thanks for sharing.

No i don't have any routine on mylot. I am a student so when i don't have any class and when i feel so boring to study then i just came here and start response other discussion or start new discussion by my self. So no special time table to come on mylot. When ever i get free time i just use here. Have a good luck!

My daily routine is similar to yours as the first thing I do is log into my emails at which I respond to all my friends discussions. This can take several hours as I find I am very popular. LOL.. Thereafter I may or may not start one of my own. Then I will go to the new discussion tabs and answer some discussions there as well. At this point I return to my email address to see if other members are start newer discussions or responses I may need to respond to. At this point I go back to the new tab once again, and after I go to the no responses and the new members responses tab as I too like to go and encourage others as well. This as a ritual I do daily her on myLot and find it very effective for me.

Well i kind of do. I usually Mylot at night mostly, although i post during the day if the mood strikes me. I tend to Mylot about thing that happen in my day, such as if i see a movie or go to an event i will Mylot about it. I try to do 10 responses or a new discussion per day. I also try to come here everyday to get into a habit even if i only do one thing.

Before anything, I check out my friend's discussions. I get all of their discussion notifications in my inbox, and go to them first. It takes me a while since I have everyone's notifiers on. And then I'll go to the discussions with no responses to see if I can contribute to them.

hi joe___matthews good discussion. I think I switch at times but I start out with my notifcastionss of friends discussions and then go to new and recent, to hot , and best discussions then maybe if I have an idea I will quickly write a discussion myself. but I try not t o do too many in a week as now I am getting a lot of responses as I have been here over three years and some months.

NORMALLY...I respond to my friend's discussions first, then look for new discussions to answer, and then I try to answer a few questions that have no responses. I say normally, because lately, I don't seem to even have the time to answer my friend's discussions. I am running about a day or two behind on discussions these day. Usually I respond to all my friend's discussions unless it is something I don't relate to at all. If I can get any decent feedback I won't respond.

I really feel very honored when people would send me invitations to be in their friend's list. But I really do not bond with them or follow their activities. When I open mylot, i readily go to "discussions" or "new discussion". There are days where all I do is start new discussions and there are days where I do is choose topics that interests me and correspond accordingly. I really do not have a routine which makes me exciting sometimes. (^_^)

I have stopped using myLot for a little white and I am returning now as of today :) I don't have a rountine yet as I don't have many friends on here - only (2). I usually just look through my friends and then I look at new discussions and I answer those. I try to answer discussions that most likely would not be removed because I don't want to waste my time if it's going to be deleted and I'll get nothing from it.

I don't have a routine really... I have a look at what everyone is up to. If something, like this, captures my eye and I have something to say, I will post it! And alot of the time, Something I will comment on will spark something to post myself! I am the same when I blog aswell! I write, read and comment then gain inspration for more to write! Some of the time I have to stop mid writing on a comment as it ends up more of a blog or a post that I could put on here myself!! HEE HEEEE!! xxx
