One way of saving money is to buy in bulk to avail the discount a store may offered, but the problem sometimes is you don't know if you really can use all the product. What if the free product is not usable. or if its clothes or dress, if you're buying in bulk sometimes they of the same style only different in colors. What's your opinion about buying in bulk? Do you think you can save money by that or the other way around?

It depends. I'm a make up artist and I need a lot of sponges, cotton pads and cotton swabs. Our household also buys hand towels in bulk. Also, my mom owns a beauty salon and buys a lot of products in bulk, which saves her a lot of money while the returns will be huge.

It depends on what it is, and how much cheaper the bulk is compared to the one piece. I do buy in bulk sometimes, but not all the time. It really depends on the item and the price.

It depends what it is and if it will get used, because if its not going to be used theres no point really. I don't buy in bulk for certain things when it comes to having to go to big warehouse type places because you usually have to pay for membership at those types of places.

Hi,
It is definitely depend on what items that I would like
to buy. As for some canned food, instant noodle or some dried food, then
I prefer to bulk in bulks as the price is slightly cheaper compared
if I were to buy in loose.
Of course, for fresh vegetable ,seafood or meat, I won't buy alot. I prefer
to eat then fresh,so I will keep in stock at least twice a week for those
fresh items.
As for clothes,I never buy all same designs with different colour at one go.
I prefer to just buy 1 design per piece,It is kinda of weird to wear same
design on clothes most of the time.and I always wait for sales period, then I will
shop for clothes.

It depends on the item. I usually make a quick computation if I will make enough savings from buying in bulk. Most of the time I like to buy the small ones to sample first. If I like it, then that's when I consider buying in bulk. My problem really is that I easily lose interest. I do not have the "loyal customer" mentality like my aunt who frequents the same establishment or buys the same product for a long time. I'm like my mother who likes to taste everything. So, in order not to waste a lot, I buy in small quantities.

I think it depends on the product or commodity you need, some time you need in bulk and some time only one or two units. For home I took bulk commodities which use in every day life like soaps etc and I need fresh vege so I only took for that certain day. It is good to save on bulk but its use in your life must be considered...
Have a nice day....:)

I have never bought anything other than food in bulk. I buy most of my clothes second hand and that's cheaper. As far as food goes, if it's something that will keep and it really is cheaper to buy in bulk, then I will. If it's something that I can't use up by the time it goes bad, then I will buy it as needed, but a lot of that depends on price, too.

I have some success buying clothes in bulk. I do it during the holidays if all the items can be used as gifts or for my personal use. It also sometimes works if you can shop with friends or neighbors and they can split the items and the cost.

A couple years before my daughter
was born, I found a really cool $1.00
baby clothes sale at the Walmart and stocked
up on lots of baby and toddler shirts, shorts
and pants sets.
Everything was about $1.00 each, even the
set pieces.
There was also a big bunch of fall-winter
type women's tops in various colors for $1.00 each.
And, though they were all the same style,
the colors were unique and different.
I was able to buy 15 or more of the tops.
They lasted for many years.
It was the deal of a lifetime.
Very hard to find deals like that anymore.
As for stocking up on food, I always find
that it's a waste, cause my family's food
tastes change almost daily and what interested
us a week ago, we'll find disgusting in another week.
So, I like to stock the basic ingredients
like pasta and sauces and rice and then
go with the flow of how everyone is feeling and
serve the foods with fresh meats purchased that
same day from the grocery store.
Frozen meats that were purchased in bulk
and then frozen to be later thawed, never
taste as good as fresh anyway.

I just went shopping this weekend with my Mama for our Christmas stock up. We always go to Sam's Club this time of year and stock up on our baking supplies. We got spices, sugar, flour, yeast, chocolate chips and several packages of dried fruit. I enjoy good deals and I clip alot of coupons but when I can buy in bulk it is often cheaper!

The usual things that i buy in bulk were under wears, hankies and socks.
But when it comes to clothes i don't buy in bulk like in 6pcs like you said,it comes in same style only differs in colors so,i don't buy.
With other products like canned foods it is fine to buy in bulk groceries are doing that to attract their shoppers.
Have a good day always

As far as the food that we eat at our house, we do a lot of buying in bulk. I have a membership to Sam's Club and it is very near our house so I will make a trip there about once every month to two months. I will buy a lot of ground beef, spaghetti sauce, some snacks and other meat. When I get home I will repackage the meat into bags that are appropriately sized for our household and then when I am ready to cook I will thaw a bag and then cook what I was planning on having. I've never, however, bought clothes in bulk.

I think the clothes thing only works in real bulk where there are a bunch of you who want the same thing and can get a discount. Say 20 people want some T-shirts, then you have some interesting purchase power.
Things we buy in bulk are things either with a long or indefinite shelf life - sugar, flour, soap, toilet paper and so on because we know it will get used. If we had a bigger freezer I'd consider some of those deals where you buy a whole pig or sheep because it works out a lot cheaper than individual pieces.

Most of the time I will just buy one piece because the bulk quantity will be the same if I buy it from the supermarket. So I don't want to buy a lot of the same products. It may be out of the valid date and I don't have enough room to store them at my home.
I love China

When it comes to food or cleaning supplies I buy in bulk if I can, but I would never buy clothing in bulk. Most of the time, when you buy in bulk you can save money. The problem I have is where to store everything as I have a very tiny house. Given my storage problem even if something is free if it's not usable I have no desire to get it.

I routinely buy canned goods, paper products and cleaning supplies in bulk. I am now experimenting with ordering from wholesale suppliers online. I have gotten some good deals on disposables and cleaning supplies that way.
I had never considered buying clothing in bulk. I think I would try it for items I'm not buying in the thrift shop.
