If you are a member of any religion and you reside in a free country, you can practice it anywhere you want. We are not lucky because here in Saudi Arabia only Islam is allowed. No other religions given an authority to practice it in the public. Most of us here in our company who are Filipino are belongs to religion other than Islam so most of us never went to any prayer meeting. How about you guys, you practice your religion?

I am not sure about this that in KSA other religion is not allowed to practice, I never heard about this. As to my knowledge there are one million roman catholic Filipino in Saudi Arabia, 5% of Saudi nationals are Christians so I think you should practice it, one million is a lot of population you should demand for practicing it...

I'm shocked at how ignorant you are of your own country!
Jews aren't even allowed into Saudi Arabia!

Here in the USA, we're blessed that our founding fathers included within our Constitution a provision that says government cannot prevent anyone from practicing their chosen religion. I do practice my religion and I'm thankful that I can. Even though you're not allowed to openly practice your religion in Saudi Arabia, you can still pray silently that the eyes of these oppressive people will be opened and they'll allow freedom of religion.

hi julyteen I am so wonderfully glad that I was b orn and raised here in a free country where I can do as I will with the religion I belong to and nobody will ever bother Me. I do practice it every day and in my own way. I am deathly afraid of anything t do with Islam. after 9/11 I will only have fear and loathing for that religion.Hi as I understand from my filipino woman friend most of you are Catholic right?'So it must be hard not to be allowed to practice your own'
religion. I am an American born in the USA. and proud of it too.

From my point of view the word "religion" itself has been misused or taken out of context too many times already..why don't you just leave the country and start a new life elsewhere? I think that would be better for you, rather than living in a place you can't adapt

I live in the United States and we are free to practice our religion and I do but I can't help wonder with all the protest we are experienceing here if this is a freedom that we will one day loose! I fear it is, maybe not in my life time, but I wonder about what we will have when I have great grandkids.

Freedom- Its an expression of God's Love. He has given humans the Gift of Freewill. Yes, he has given us the commandments of how to live our life, for our benefit, but its our choice whether we follow them or not. He wants obedience from heart, not a forceful mechanical obedience. God did not force Adam and eve to serve him or listen to him. He just gave the rules and left it to them on how they decide to work on those rules. When such a great God, gives us the choice of freewill, how can humans force humans and take away freewill? Well, as for me, I Thank God for letting me decide for myself that I love and want to serve him whole heatedly.

Hi july teen: I practice my religion because I think it's all about coherence. I'm glad to be in a country where you can beleive or not of the things you want. It must be that way everywhere, it's all about tolerance. I think there must be no religious impositions. I hope religions could live in peace but that's just a dream . Thanks for sharing with us your story.

My fellow brethren are having their prayer meetings in secret there in Saudi. I have heard so may Christian were beheaded because of this, it only proves that the bible is real coz this is predicted in the bible. And this makes me stronger in my faith, the more they persecute there stronger Christians become, just like in early Christian era. Let us take note, the prophesy is real.

I really think you should practice your religion. Are you obliged to murder people and commit adultery as not doing so is practicing Christianity and Judaism?
Why is it that Muslims expect us to live by their rules when we go to their countries, and when they come to our countries, they expect us to live by their rules?
I really think the international community should stop being so friendly towards Saudi Arabia because of their oppressive laws (they don't let women drive either).

I am a Filipino too. I did not know there was such a rule like that in Saudi Arabia. It is unfortunate that you are going through that of not being able to do fellowship with your religious group. Yet, I believe that a personal relationship with God is what counts the most, over your religious group. Make the most out of your time there by enriching your personal relationship with God. God is everywhere and I am sure he knows what's deep inside your heart.

I believe that whatever teachings we are into, wherever we are, we can do it if we want to. I know someone who lives in a part of Dubai wherein the bible is not allowed. So what they are doing is that they are having bible studies in a room where all of them belongs to the same religion, as you say. Although they really have to hide the bible. Another thing is that i believe that it's not the religion that can save us but it is our relationship with God. Prayer meetings and bible studies help a lot in knowing our God deeper.. and Glory to God, that even if you are in a country where other religions are not allowed, you are still seeking to know other's opinion on this.

I am blessed to live in the USA, where we can practice any religion we want to. I read about the awful thing that happen to others in other places when it's found out that they don't believe in whatever religion the governing lords want them to and I pray for all of you. That should be a basic right that belongs to every human being.

Its sad that freedom of religion is not allowed in many countries. I just read today what happened in Iraq to the Church, wow really sad and not what G-d wants. We need to teach people that many others have different faiths and no faith deserves to the the only one, we all worship the same G-d and are all His children anyway. I love my religion and would never give it up but at the same time have no problem with others practicing their beliefs. have a great day!
