Yes, my mom would read to me at times. Not every night but many times when I was a child. I used to enjoy the adventures of Frog and Toad, and I loved Where the Wild Things are. We used to get lots of books fromt the library too and she would often read to me. Sometimes my dad did too. I think that is what has led me to be a lover of books. I now read every day after school with my youngest, he brings books home from school that he is suppossed to read for me, he will read those and sometimes I will read something special to him.

Hehe, I tried that and I failed. Even if some stuff would turn out boring for some "outsiders", it's exciting for me. Turning these stories in something boring for me would only end up with my mind flying to other stuff, like what I did in that day or what I'm going to do the next day.
If I really want to fall asleep I visualize myself sleeping deeply, with everything around me dark and moving real slow. Thinking real slow, now that helps. Sometimes.

oh you are just like me! I like to tell myself stories in my head as they are so much more interesting than the stories I hear or read in a book. My stories also keep me awake because they are so exciting I don't want to fall asleep until I know the ending. Since they make up the ending myself I can in this story just the way I like to and that makes it lots of fun. Maybe if you've tried to tell yourself a story that was very boring you might make yourself fall a sleep easier?

daw thats cute that when you were a kid they read stories to you^^ is cute that now you make stories in your head ahah thats funny^^ half an hour? yes for some people is harder to fall asleep than to others. its good that you found a way to sleep faster^^ when you see yourself sleeping deeply and things moving slow ahah^^ thats cool^^
eve thats cute that you also tell stories to yourself^^ and sure if you can create the ending is more interesting^^ did you ever try to write it?^^ instead of just tell in your head? maybe would be some cute stories^^

well i could not recall any memories of my mom reading me a book or stories before i sleep when i was a kid. probably because she was too busy to read me one, she is a business woman and often times when she comes home she is too tired to do anything but sleep and rest. so i grew up independently with nannies around, and i grew up tending for myself.

Hi again. Yes, my partner treated me like a baby. She loves to tell story before i go to bed especially when I'm not okay. She tell stories imagining our future and what it would be like and if don't feel sleepy yet she Hum our favorite melodies. Everytime she do that i wake up with a smile on my face. When i was out of town she make sure we talk before going to bed and do the same. I really like the way she love me.

Thank you for appreciating it. Some teasing me. Yes, she love to create good stories just to make sure i have a good night sleep. She even tap my butt. she's not really a good singer but i love the way she sing the melody. There an instance that i can't sleep and there's no way to reach her and i badly needed her to be with with me... when i checked my phone she recorded her voice and sang the same melody. Yes, we are very happy despite of all the trials.

My mum used to always read me a story before i go to sleep at night time when i was a child, and on the odd occasion my grandad if he was at my house at the time. I now read to my children before they go to bed along with my wife as we find it very important to read to them and it helps them sleep well too.

No. There is no such a memory in my mind. I don't remember that there was someone who would read me story before I sleep. I have forgotten many things that happened when I was a child.
And now I don't have a kid yet, so I don't read stories to get my child sleep.

I don't remember if somebody read me a story before we go to sleep. My mother is busy working when i was small child and i was left to my grandmother. Now, i already have 2 kids, but i don't read also to them a story because I am also tired of working the whole day. I just keep on their side, and always telling them that i love them every night before we go to sleep.

My parents told me stories when I was a lad.I really enjoyed them and loves all the fairy tales like jack in the bean stock and the three bears. Those stories helped me fall asleep and i really liked to hear the stories as they were interesting.I really like reading a good book when i have some spare time and think that mystery novels or science fiction are really interesting to read and i can increase my reading ability and vocabulary when i read books with a lot of depth and detail in them.

Yes, when I was a child, my mother read fairy tales stories to me until I fell I sleep. I even asked her to read the same story almost every night. I never grew tired of it. I also remember my aunts telling me bedtime stories that are like folk stories of our country. Some of the stories were scary but I enjoyed them a lot. I love these memories, they're such a happy part of my childhood.

My mom did it to me when she came home after having a surgery. She couldn't get out of bed as she was still recuperating so she would read stories and sing songs for me. That happened only time but I cherished it forever.
My great grandmother used to sing and tell me stories too when she would sleep in the house. I loved it so much that I couldn't even forget the lyrics of that lullabye until now.

When I was a young child, I was read to when it was time to go to sleep. Sometimes it was many shorter stories, sometimes a bigger book, but the fact is that I am going to be read to. My mother read to me each and every night right before I go to sleep and it is really something that kind of really planted the seeds for my love of books.
It has started a tradition. Once I could read on my own, I began reading at night before I went to bed. There is just something about a book, whether it is read to me in my younger years or the fact that I am going to read it currently. So yes, it is something that is done with me when I was younger. Then it is just going to lead to a love of reading that I have had to this did. It is just hard to get to sleep without a good book.
