I wonder how will it feel like if you were to have ice cream during winter. Will there be any people that eat ice cream during winter? I doubt who will do that.
I was once went to my country's famous amusement part and casinos in Genting Highland where it is located at 1700m above the sea level. And the temperature there at night can be as low as 15ºC (if compare to countries that having winter, I think this is nothing, right?) And we have to wore sweater so that we do not feel cold. Something interest me was, I found that there were ice cream stalls that selling ice cream at the place that is consider cold enough, and many people are having ice cream at the cold weather. Are they crazy!?
So, please share your opinion or experience whether you eat ice cream during winter for those countries that have winter and for those mylotter that come from the countries that do not have winter, will you eat ice cream when the weather is cold?

I feel taking more ice creams during winters. Maybe because I believe that iron cuts iron and diamond cuts a diamond... but then, I just love the Ice Creams and my love is not bound by any Seasons. Fortunately I can and am still allowed Ice Creams (tough in limited quantities) and so I relish them...
My Favorite - Sundae Special and from my my home made ones - Raspberry flavored with Hot Coffee (a teaspoon sprinkled on top) and lots of cashews, pineapple slices, apple slices.... Any more fruits will do for me.... We get so many fruits in winters... That is the right time... (Many a times I have tried out with some boiled vegetables too)
Actually I loved to have the fruit salads with cream... I combined that with some of the Ice-creams and found that I love this recipe. Maybe an insane idea to many but then...I have taste buds that feel good and satiated with this one.
Cheers,
theSids.

I like the idea of iron cuts iron and diamond cuts a diamond. I never though of taking ice cream during winter can be describe in that way.
I like the ice cream with nuts like almond. I also like the flavored of chocolate. I think as long as it is ice cream, I will like it.

Hi,
It is a interesting discussion. Having ice cream during winter i think is normal in my country. It is just like having pot during hot summer. Do you know why are so many people like having pot in hot days? It means relax, comfort themselves, so this type of diet is very popular in hot days. Someone having ice cream during winter is the same reason, the colder, the more comfortable.
Very happy to join this topic.

That's like having a sauna or even hot springs in a tropical country.
But I guess it's okay if you're just inside your house by the fireplace..not out there in the cold, you might freeze you know..

Hi yspmyl,
I don’t eat much ice-cream even in summer so you can guess the situation in winter. I too have the same doubt, how people can enjoy the ice-cream in severe winter. I feel cool while watching those people (lol). Actually I am thinking that ice-cream give more coolness or not good in winter. If those are habitual with ice-cream can enjoy the same regardless of the season.

Hi Sreekala,
I did enjoy ice cream a lot. I like to have a big scoop of ice cream and enjoy the sweetness and the coldness. I really like to know how will it feel when having ice cream during winter.
I knew that having cold stuff is actually not good for the stomach but it is just so nice that you can't refuse to have it..

Oooh, talking about Genting Highlands makes me miss Malaysia already! Sorry, just feeling a bit emo there because I hail from Malaysia too but now based in Australia. Anyway, even during winter here in Australia, I do still eat ice cream. Yeah, it might be weird, but I think eating ice cream doesn't make the body cold. Feeling of coldness in the mouth and coldness felt by the body is two different entities altogether, and coldness in the mouth equates pleasure (well, at least it is for me! ). Besides, my body has grown so used to the cold weather in Australia that I only consider temperatures below 15 degree Celcius as cold. In Malaysia, I reckon anything below 25 degree Celcius can be considered cool temperature. So, eating ice cream during winter isn't an issue for me.
PS: It's been ages since I visited Genting. Has the theme park changed at all in the recent years?

I like the pleasure when having the sweet ice cream melt in the mouth! I like the sweetness and the coldness that come together.
I think there is not possible to have a temperature below 15°C to be happen in Malaysia, for us that stay in the all year long with hot weather, will definitely feel cold when the temperature drop below 20°C..
One day, I will try to have ice cream at Genting Highland and experience it myself.
