Obesity is certainly very unhealthy. People try different ways not to become obese. And, people who are obese try ways to reduce obesity. One way that I have been doing to keep my weight under control is to exersize regularly. I do jogging regularly, and I think that is helping very well. How about you ? Excuse me for asking. How are you keeping your weight under control ?

Be aware of what you eat. Is your diet well balanced to help you with weight control or are you just eating to fill the stomach? To control your weight, you must cut down fatty or greasy food and innovate fresh fruits and vegetables as they contain low amounts of calories, and high dietary fiber. These will enable you to eat more of them.

I exercise everyday, myself, to keep my weight under control. I also try to watch what I eat most of the time. I also drink a lot of water. This is because I've had a lot of trouble with urinary tract infections here lately. I also think drinking a lot of water everyday really helps keep your weight down. I take after daddy's side of the family pretty much and he was a big man. There were also a lot of overweight people in his family and I don't want to be like any of them. The only time I don't worry about weight is when we have potluck at church and during holidays.

Hi! That's good for you. For me I just watch what I eat. No pork, no beef. I'm more into sea foods. My snack is also composed of eating bread, instead of chips and sweet stuffs.

From what I've been hearing and reading over the years, there is one basic common formula for dieting or keeping weight under control. Exercise + eat in moderation + eat healthy foods + manage stress = heathy you :-) Simple yet very difficult to follow. I the big effort required to do this is to have the will power and the discipline. I think we should all start with a healthy mindset, then the rest will follow.

Weight is just one symptom of bad health. Granted, it is a symptom that is very easy to see, so many people make the mistake of focussing only on weight. People who have a high metabolism and gain weight do not have this symptom to see, and often do not realize that they are unhealthy until it is too late. Paying attention to your fitness level (how far you can run/jog/swim, how flexible and strong you are, how much muscular endurance you have) and your blood pressure and cholesterol levels is a good way to go about it. If those levels are good, a healthy weight will follow, even if it is a little above or below what you are "supposed" to weigh.
So for me, if I find myself in worse shape, not being able to do what I could do before, I up the exercise and reduce the junk food a bit, until I feel fit and strong and comfortable again.

I'm not overweight and somehow have never experienced being overweight. I'm very lucky that I can easily burn fat and don't store much in my body to keep me fat. I don't do any exercise in particular but when i feel like it, I walk around the village and try to breathe in some fresh air.

Keep a regular weekly check on the weight. by adjusting exercise and eating level maintain the weight within a 2-3 kg range
Experience shows that regular exercise is a vital component. very few manage to keep their lower weight they undertake regular exercise help the energy balance, improves heart and lung function, reduces self-pity, boredom and snacking time, the higher the exercise level the better, but even walking or cycling rather than using cars or busses, and using stairs not lifts regularly helps. but very difficult to do this.

I wished I could put more weight on but I seem to always stay the same. I don't really have to watch what I eat, I'm lucky in this sense as I can eat whatever I want and I never put anything on. I sometimes get a slightly bigger belly, although I walk a lot and it goes back down. I don't really worry about my weight, I'm sure some people wished it was the same for them but I dislike being too slim. I'd rather have a little bit of meat on me :)

Hello greenline,
I know this may be the exception to rule but when you have two children in college and paying for the one out of pocket and leaves very little money left over to buy groceries. Plus when the car break down and my daughter car or get hit be the deer and have to pay the decutable of $500.00 does not leave much room to eat. I live on cans of vegetables and bag of potaotes and soup is mine main stable for feeding myself. Just so much has happen this month to take my extra dollars for food.
Thanks and have a great night
Sincerely unique16
