Stars won't help your earning..it will only show your rank here and how active you are.

Hi asendud, If you had read the FAQs, you would have known that the star stands for myLot reputation. It shows how you are seen by other users. When you write a comment, a response or a new discussion, the other users can rate it using the + and the - right next to it. If they find your answer useful, they rate it positively. If they feel it has a negative impact on the myLot community, they can rate it negatively. MyLot reputation is based on a scale of 0 to 10 stars with 10 stars being the highest. I also have the same experience of getting star above my profile name with a numerical within it and the numerical is sometimes found to be 6, sometimes 5 and sometimes 4. I am yet to make out what it stands for.

I just started on MyLot yesterday and I believe that the star means that you have reached 100 discussions.... and it shows your ranking... I love myLot it is addicting....
