We're going to HK in a week's time and have of course researched on the most popular tourist spots to visit there like Disneyland, The Peak, OceanPark, etc. but what else can you recommend for us to visit that would surely be fun and memorable but won't cost much? Thanks in advance!

Although Hongkong is not far from the province where I live, I have never been there, but I have the plan to visit it someday with my family. There is so much to see and enjoy in Hongkong. I often hear something about this city from some of my colleagues who have been there. It is an attractive city to me. So what about your impression with HK since you might have been there by now after two years? Do you like your trip there with a lot of fun? Have a good day, silentwill.

I was scared at first. It was my first time to be out of country. I didn't know what to expect being in a strange city filled with people who speaks a different language. But then I quickly got at ease learning where to go to buy food or stuff. Being amazed at how efficient the train system was compared to Manila and got thrilled taking the ferry from Kowloon to Hong Kong island. We had to choose between Disneyland or Ocean Park and went with the latter. We were in a bit of a hurry and missed out on a lot so I kinda get bored. We didn't get to watch the programs and there weren't much thrill rides. I think it's a lot better now after they added the Toy Story area. I think I would've enjoyed Ocean Park better if only for the cable cars but we still had fun and if given a chance I'd love to go there again.

My memorable but affordable experience in Hong Kong is the ferry boat ride going to and from Hong Kong Island and Kowloon Island. There are lots of ways to cross these islands - the mtr, the tunnels, etc. But for me, nothing beats sailing along the Hong Kong harbor. I enjoyed the breath taking view of the mountains and the buildings on it. An ironic but in a way, scenic view on how modernization blends with nature.
