Attend the interview - When you going to apply for a job, you will need to attend an interview so that the company can evaluate you whether you are a suitable candidate for them or not, and during the interview, many question will be ask, and many time, a person fail the interview because have asked some question that not supposed to be ask..

I believe many people do not know what should not be ask when you go to a job interview, there are 3 question that you should never ask the interviewer or else, you can prepare to find another job.. 1. How much will you offer me? This is the question that you should not ask, most of the interviewer will think that you just concern about the money but not concern about the job. So do not ask this question! 2. How many question can I ask? This is another question that you should not ask, why? The interviewer will think that you are supposed to answer their question but yet you are now interview the interviewer with asking so many question. 3. Am I qualify for the job? No interviewer will like to tell you immediately whether you are qualify or not, so do not ask this silly question, that will only make you look more silly So, these are the question that you should not ask when you attend an interview. I think it is quite true, if I am the interviewer, I do not like the question and I will not give you the answer..

I agree with you on all three questions that you have mentioned there. I think salary negotiations done after the interview and the interview is not a place to do it. The second seems really stupid, as the interviewer generally asks do you have any questions, so simply ask them. The third one is trying to find the result of an interview there itself. Most interviewers don't like it and can hold it against you. So I agree with you on these points. BTW, if you are interested on tips for preparing for an interview, you can check out these articles in my blog: http://ramadvice.wordpress.com/2008/09/07/preparing-for-an-interview-a-structured-approach/ http://ramadvice.wordpress.com/2008/10/02/telephonic-interviews-play-it-by-the-ear/ Cheers! Yes, that is right, if you talk about salary during the interview, you will probably make the interviewer think that you are more concern about your own benefit rather than the job. Many newbies that came out to the society and start to seeking job will probably do not know what should be ask or what should not be ask during the interview, so if they ask such a stupid question, they probably will lose the good opportunity. Your articles are very good to those who never or going to an interview. Thank you so much!

I think you are lucky enough to get a job by asking how much you are going to get, and the interviewer probably are the type that doesn't mind..

i yspmyl yes I do so agree with you as the first one will usually turn off any interest the interviewer might have in you. The second makes you look like a rank amateur even if you are forty years old. and the third one should be obvious to even the less intelligent ones, as thats' what the interview is all about, finding out if you are qualified for the job offered.great discussion ysp myl

Hi Hatley, I think when a company are going to employ a person, they probably will have already set the salary range that they going to pay, so no matter how you ask them, you probably will not get up to your expectation, and of course they will be more happy if the salary you requested is much lower than what they offer. In an interview, to ask too many questions is not something good where you supposed to answer question but not here to ask question...many interviewer doesn't like that. The 3rd question will probably make the interviewer feel the pressure, they normally will need time to filter and make a short list and choose among the best.

nice perception. This will definitely help people who are very afraid of interviews and most of the time go nervous.

I would completely agree to that YSPMYL. There is just one more question which i could think apart from these three, Do girls work here? lol... Silly... but I have seen people ask this question... A big NO to this one too.

I think if you are applying a job in a bar, then the interviewer will probably tell you this : "Yes! We have many over here!" I think if you going to apply job in a bar, then it should be ok.

Hi yspmyl Thanks for sharing this suggestions.. I have given many interviews and I have never asked such a questions.. in fact I let the interviewer ask all the questions. If they give me a chance to ask any questions I prefer not to ask anything. All the questions I ask is after they say I am selected.

Hi Sumanadep, You are smart! At least the question that you ask will not make the interviewer think that you are not their suitable candidate, and many people prefer not to ask any question so that no wrong question will be asked.

Don't respond to an unanticipated question with an extended pause or by saying something like, "boy, that's a good question." And do repeat the question out loud or ask for the question to be repeated to give you a little more time to think about an answer. Also, a short pause before responding is okay.

Yes, I agree with you, that is something good to let you have a little more time to think, but too many pauses will make the interviewer think that you do not know how to answer their question and you will probably will not be selected.
