i really love french fries, but i know they are not good for me, so i was thinking what are other options i can choose from to have the same tasty french fries that is healthy and lower in glycemic index?

hi bart try french fried sweet potatoes much lower on the glycemic index as I learned inour diabetes support group.they are really delicious too
and while not french fries they do sort of take the place of the less nutritous oil soaked french fries, this from a french fry lover too.

Several times I ate sliced apples and caramel dip at McDonald's in place of fries. Very good and tasty. I'll eat a veggie in place of fries when eating at a restaurant and feel satisfied. Since I am a fry lover, I had to retrain my eating habits and simply stay away from fries.

Some stores allow you to replace your fries with salad (like at Red Robins), you could eat fruit or something else to replace french fries. Good luck! :D
