What did you do on your last day of work?

November 8 will be my last day at work. It is a 2 month contract. What will I do? I'm really not sure. I think we will have a meeting or something. I do hope that they will renew my contract. I really like the job and I am happy with what I do at work. It may be very stressful but at least I have a job.
So now I wonder what do other people do on their last day at work. What do you want to do mylotters? What did you do on your previous work? Did you order something for everyone to share, like food or something?
Happy mylotting! Have a nice day! ^_^

My most memorable last day of work was when I was working in a fast food company. There is a tradition handed down by the employees working there. Every employee that will leave (end of contract/resign) the company will have to go through the "take a bath rule". Meaning the employees who are still working will prepare plenty of hidden water it could be water with full of ice. When the resigning/leaving staff will punch out his/her DTR everyone will purr the water to that employee. It was really funny and memorable even when I was all so wet.

Wow Mackenzie_jad228 that would have made me really mad. That is one memory that I would never be able to forget because I would have been furious. I think I would have skipped clocking out on my last day and just took off full speed towards the door because I would not want to get soaked with water. You then would have to drive home cold and wet & get your seats all wet. I dont like jokes like that.

on my last day of work in my previous job.. first thing i did was to finish the work - my team mates and i had a great lunch too.. and well after that i went ahead to complete my clearance requirements so i will not have to go back to the office again because i would already have surrendered my ID and thus would be hard for me to go around the place... =)

In my career just over a decade, I have twice changed jobs. On both these cases I served the complete notice period. So on the last day usually I went around meeting all the acquaintances and wishing them the best for their career. Noting down their contact numbers for future references etc. Nothing more than that.
Cheers!

Good luck and I sure hope they do value your work and find that they simply need you there. However, continue performing to the best of your abilities and then some and some day when they need someone in that position again they will always remember you.
In the interim maybe start seeking and silently applying elsewhere as continuation of a pay check is important. Be well.

When I had my last day of work, I did my best at work, thinking that I can't be with the people I enjoyed working with anymore. I was sad though, I will surely miss the staff and the guests I made friends with. When my shift was done, I was really surprised by my superiors and officemates. They throw a despedida(farewell) party for me. They have been planning it few days prior. I was put to tears when they handed me a card with all their messages of good luck and encouragement. I stayed longer in the office that day and savor the moment.
Just enjoy your last day trisha. They might renew your contract. Good luck!

I worked as a resident aide at a local nursing home. I told my boss my decision to quit. She thought maybe I just needed a break so she gave me a month off of work using all my holiday and sick time up. I wound up having a whole paid month off. I went back and didnt feel any different so I told her I had to quit. I had 2 put in the two weeks notice and help train a new worker. The last day was really hard to leave all those patients. I had a really hard time not crying. But it felt good to be done working up there. I couldnt deal with the stress anymore.

When I had my last day in the kindergarden, I was still with my ex-boyfriend, he was a baker and he had made a big cake for the children and the other adults. The first part of the day was like the other days and after lunch we had a small farewell party for me. We eat the cake that my ex-boyfriend had made and the children sung the farewell song for me and gave me some drawings and some small presents. From the adults I received a flower. I was sad to leave the place and the children and they asked me to come back for a visit one day. I miss my job there
