Days off!

What do you do on your days off work?
What i enjoy doing on my days off does depend if i'm tired from all the time i've been at work or if i'm wanting to have fun. To me the perfect day off would be to go out with my wife and children and all have a fun day out together as a family... like go swimming or to a amusement park. What would you prefer to do on your day off? Do you hate it when you are ill or don't have any money on your day off?
Thanks!

My days off vary, sometimes I will just relax and other times I will get what needs to be done done. Sometimes I will come on here and spend a whole day just trying to earn and so in that way I don't get a day off. If I do have a day off I try to sleep in though. I think I may incorporate a nice long walk into my days off, if nothing else.

I get too much time off of work sometimes. I am self employed and if I am not working I am not making money. I clean houses for a living, my daughter and I work together. Today we have 5 houses to clean. It will take us about 7 hours today but most days we only work about 5 hours. But it is also a really good money day too.
What do I do when I have time off? Lots of different things and yet nothing really. I clean my house and do laundry. I clean the yard and/or the garage. But when I don't have any housework to do I like to party, so to speak.
I like to go for walks and bike rides, or I like to go to the casino, or go dancing. Or go to the park or zoo. Or just sit at home and relax and get high!
Cheers and happy mylotting my friend,
Chris

since I am disabled I really don\t have any particular day off, I am always writing something. Last night I did go out for supper and that was a welcome change.

I am a boring person, so I don't usually go out during my rest days. What I do is just stay home and do movie marathon, or sleep whole day. The only time I go out is when I need to breathe fresh air or buy some food, especially during dinner or at lunch. I am a couch potato, so I'd rather stay home and get bored whole day. hehe

Mothers don't have days off. Even if we have a free day, like one when we don't have to wake up early because there is no school nor work, the moment we rise from the bed, there is always a chore to do...

When I do have a day off I usually don't have time to do anything or money to do the things I would like to do. Right now I am working two part time jobs and attending EMT classes two nights a week so I don't get much time off. When I am off I usually clean house and do laundry. But my perfect day off would be spent relaxing with family or hanging out with friends.

Hi joey_matthews, it's a great fun to gather with good friends during day off once in a while. It's doesn't matter wherever we have our fun. The most important thing is there is a comfortable place for us to chat and laugh heartily. We need delicious foods as well as drinks to supply us energy to boost the happy atmosphere for sure
Yeah, there is an ideal food court nearby a recreation park where the environment there is tranquil and yummy foods are available as well. We spend many of our happy hours there whenever we have our pleasant gathering I really value our happy gathering moment
Happy posting.

Thankfully I am never ill and also am retired, so in a sense every day is my day off and of course it is best not to spend money every day so there are some fun free things to do. To make them completely free, though, they would have to be close to home because of the gas prices.
On the other hand, there are lots of things do do in my community which is gated and has a clubhouse with a pool and spa, billiards room, shuffleboard courts, and a library. We have a ceramics studio too. Outside the gate there are walking trails through little interconnected parks that run for miles.
We have lots of activities in my community -- ice cream socials, card games, etc. One of my favorite free things to do is to go around to neighbor's yard sales. Since it is a seniors only community we do sometimes have estate sales which can be very interesting.

Usually on Sunday's (the hubby's day off) we all go for a car ride. Our kids are all teenagers now, so sometimes they go with, sometimes they don't. We usually will drive some place we have never been so it is always an interesting drive. If we come across some antique stores along the way, we will usually stop and both my husband and I love antiques.

I have a full time job which takes many hours each work day. By the time I get back home, it could be pretty late on some days, and I would be so tired and exhausted. I keep longing for my day off. When that finally comes. I would relax going out to parks to enjoy the refreshing environment.

I really love day offs! It is the time to think and relax without the hassle of work. I usually read books, sleep a lot and sometimes doing some movie marathons. I do love going out too especially on places that I haven't been. Wish day-offs are payed!haha

I have to be prepared for my day off top start with, I have to be full of energy and motivation otherwise I will just stay home and sleep ;)
Perfect day off would be have a trip somewhere with close friends and my family, spend some quality time with my girl friends or just go out at night.
But if I dont feel like socializing I could just work on myself, relaxing, reading, working out etc.

I think most of us wanted to enjoy during our day off. Unfortunately if you are sick most probably you will not enjoy if you go out then you will prefer to be at home. Another thing is that although you wanted to stay out with the members of the family if they too are too busy then you will prefer to stay home. Lastly if you are financially incapable to go out then you rather used your day off to look for another source of income.
