Hello, mylotters,I am not sure you have become the father or not but I was 20 days ago,but as a new father without experience to feed up bady,I found it very tired to understand why my baby is very easy to wake and cry, sometimes he is starving sometiems it's time to change pumpers for him and sometiems he just feels too hot,but some other time we don't why he is crying,we feel he is healthy but he is just not willing to sleep on his small bed,so if you have any experience on how to feed up children, could you please share it with me here, thanks so much.

Congratulations on your new baby! Don't worry...newborns don't sleep very long but they will eventually work out a routine that is easier on you. It sounds like you are doing all of the right things when your son wakes up crying because, since he can't let you know what he wants, you do have to guess. Sometimes he's not hungry or wet or hot or cold...he just wants to be held. Newborns like being wrapped snug in a light blanket and rocked. They also like being talked to and sung to. You'll get the hang of it.

This is very normal for newborn babies. They sleep just a few hours, then cry when they're hungry, cry when they're wet, then just cry and you don't know what's wrong. Babies also get gas a lot of times especially after feeding times. Make sure to burp the baby after every feeding, especially when the baby is feeding from a bottle. Gas really give babies so much tummy ache. You can also massage your baby's tummy with your fingers forming a direction of an inverted "U". It helps push down gas from the tummy. Don't worry, you will get through it. Just a little sacrifice, but when your baby smiles and coos, everything feels alright.

There are so many things it could be. If your babies diaper is dry & the baby has a full belly and its still crying it either needs to burb or probably just wants to be held and cuddled. Its a huge change for them being outside the womb so if you keep them as comfortable as possible they will sleep better. Try swaddling him it really helps.

Congratulations on the birth of your new little son!! New babies are ALWAYS hard work, but don't worry it DOES get easier. Make sure that you bring up babies wind after every feed or else he will have tummy ache and be very grumpy. Babies need to be kept warm but not hot, their bottom as dry and clean as you can, their tummy full and lots of love. I'm sure he'll settle down soon - enjoy him while he is little , they grow up so quickly!!!

You sound pretty knowledgeable already. -- You have to try different things, what worked last time does not work now. When my son was that age he had alot of gas. Pick the baby up in your arms and put him or her on their stomach supporting the baby with your arm. The pressure againist her/his chest might provide some comfort. Congrats and it does get easier. Cherish these days.

sunny, a 20 day old baby doesn't sleep on his own bed. An infant sleeps beside the mother or the father, in your case. Why? Because 1) he just came out to this world and is still acclimatizing to the weather. Remember, he had been dwelling comfortably in the womb for 9 months!, 2) a newborn babe needs immediate bonding and would not want to feel alone, 3) a baby needs milk nourishment every so hours so that he could develop fast, 4) he needs to pooh and pee every so often, 5) an ant might be biting him so check the area around the mouth and neck always. sunny, happy fathering! You are blessed!

Becoming a father is hard, chances are you have heard the horror stories about infants that keep awake all night and sleep all day. This may have you thinking that you will never get a good nights rest again. There is really no need to worry. It is all about creating good sleep routines in your infant. You must be constant though. If you don't stay with the schedule, you could find yourself awake many more nights than you have to be. You should avoid late naps. If your infant takes a long nap late in the day, it will hinder with nighttime sleeping. Give your baby a nap in the early afternoon so that he/she has time to "wear out" before it is sleep time. If you give your baby a nap too late in the day, you are in for a very long night. Naptime should be the same time everyday as well, so the baby can get used to it.

Try to burp him. May be it's just wind. Anyway, it's quite normal for newborns to cry for no apparent reason. He's new to this world and will take time to settle down. All the best :)
