i've only done it once before. but that's because my meet up with my friend got screwed up. i got to the mall about an hour late. then i couldn't contact her because it turned out, she didn't bring her phone with her. i ended up watching harry potter by myself and she went to see die hard by herself. we always have a good laugh when we talk about it. and whenever we would meet up, i would always make sure to tell her to bring her phone.

I have a mate who likes to do that to, Sometimes it's annoying but as long as he's not bothering anyone speaking too loudly.

I don't often go to the cinema but it's always by myself. In fact, I'm going to see the new Harry Potter movie in about a week! I've only seen one of the movies and it was pretty good. Now that I've finished all the books I'll enjoy the movie.
Movies are too expensive so I usually wait for them to come to television.

i don't usually go to cinemas these days because the ticket is already so expensive for me, but whenever i have chance i like it more to go with my husband or with friends.
but i have experienced watching a movie alone, it happens once only when i have to wait for my bf then who have important matter to attend to that i can't join him, so instead of just strolling in the mall waiting for him, i just decided to go inside the cinema and watch a movie alone. i don't really enjoy it because i feel bored and really lonely especially when what i am watching is a horror movie. lol!

I generally go to the films along with my mom and bro.... Sometimes with friends too... But when I am home alone for a few days and even my friends are not interested in going to films then I go alone.... But very rarely..... If there is a horror movie in such a situation then i would surely go alone.... Coz I love horror movies and watching alone more so.....

Thanks for the response. I don't go on my own very often but as I said if there was a film I wanted to watch and nobody was going with me then I'd go.

Hi lakerfanster! I have been to the cinema on my own a few times when everyone I know have watched the movie already or nobody wanted to watch the movie with me because they don't like it. But just like you, I always go and watch with either my sisters or my friends because I know it's more fun to watch a movie with the people you love to hang out with. :)

Thanks for the response.
That's another thing I didn't pick up on, going when your friends have already seen the film. I have decided to go with a friend when I have already seen the film and want to see it again and they want to see it as they haven't seen it yet.

Oh for sure; I find it really theraputic. I dont' do it often because of course I love to go with my husband or a girl friend but there have been times when I want to be alone and I take myself for lunch and a matinee. Why not! The only thing that wouldn't be so nice about that is being completely alone in the theatre. Lucky for me that as not happened.

Thanks for the response.
I think it could be a good way of killing time if you have a meeting with someone or you are just bored of walking around town on a day off.

When I was going to the movie theatres during my college years, I used to go alone, after the classes. There were movie theatres just within walking distances. But, of course, these days, I don't get the time to go to the theatres. Just sit in front of the TV and watch on the movie channels.

This is among the worst of scenario for me. In cinema hall I am alone watching the film with no friend and family around. I have never done this neither I will do it ever. It is boring, too much boring.

It does remove the good thing about going to watch a film at the cinema which is you can talk about it with each other afterwards.

I always watch movies at the cinema with my wife :) ...unless it's a scary movie. That's actually the only time I watch a movie on my own.

Never.
But I'm honest, I would like...I would have a little shame because if I meet some people I know, they could think bad things about me that I have no friends...
Anyway, it could be possible I'll do in the future...
At least for thos movies that my friends don't like...
