Friendliness is one of the wining personality a person must possess. And smiling makes it easier for us to win friends. Personally I don't use to smile when meeting new people. I know my attitude will not help me to win friends at all times. But it's really hard for me to smile sincerely if I'm not sure the person won't smile back at me. I just don't know, I always practice to smile and in photos I'm always smiling but in real life I just smile when I'm with my friends. People told me I always look serious then they will tease me an ask me to throw little smile but instead I will look more serious. Maybe I was just shy to smile consciously. How about you? How do you find smiling with every people you met? Did it make a difference? Why do you think we need to keep smiling every time we met people?

I don't often smile when i meet people specially with strangers. I couldn't keep a smile when i don't know that someone. But there's an instance where I just felt so happy that I smiled to everyone including my enemy.
I think having a happy disposition in life is really good and being charming is so nice. If you smile the rest of the world will smile with you. It's so infectious.

Whenever I feel sad, if for instance, I meet somebody who passes me a smile I feel my life is not meant to share my sadness but to share my happiness. The more you share your happiness, the more beautiful your life would be. So, while reading this, keep smiling. :)

I'm shy too, so I don't think I smile so often too. I think I am just honest, and when I'm not sure that I am honestly in the mood to smile, I feel pretentious and don't. It's not worth it to me and lie and feel uncomfortable about it. But in society, it is regarded as a good thing to avoid confusion and to be polite.

Good day Mayrah!Yes it is wonderful to share a good smile to other people wether friends or strangers. This makes you look so friendly and uplift the feeling of the people whom you meet along the way.As they say, "A SMILE BEGETS A SMILE". and also "SMILE AND THE WORLD WILL SMILE WITH YOU". These are sayings that would prove the positive effect of your smile. It's not only affecting others but mostly it affects yourself. So keep on smiling now.It doesn't hurt to give a gentle smile to someone right. It will make you look younger too.

Smiling can have a great effect on people, you just never know when and how. I always smile when I meet people, new or even old ones. There was one time when I entered into the room of our school paper, one of my classmate was there and I didn't know that she had a bad day, when I see her I smiled at her not knowing what she was going through. Later that day she told me that my smile helps her to lighten her day, and it really affects her and she was thankful. I felt an inner joy since I have helped a person with just a simple smile. Hope this inspires you to smile. :)

Same here. I am not a pleaser. I cannot smile if I feel that I am not interested in the person am meeting with. I smile when I want to. But you cannot force me to smile when I don't feel like smiling. I can win friends not from the start or acquaintance. I win friends when they truly know me and when a conversation comes in. I am more of conversing than socializing.

I do smile but not more often, smiling sometimes makes you feel good emotionally and I have been told so many times that it takes you a lot of energy to feel angry and serious but less energy to smile, I have also been told that smiling is just good for our life as it improves our health positively, If you are shy smiling please try to smile on your mirror, do it repeatedly until that time you will be comfortable with then you will be able to smile to strangers without being reminded. When you smile to stranger you will get that they open up and improve on the rapport between the two of you.

I myself have practiced a smiling face, hence , i always have a smiling face.
For me, i always put on a smile so that anyone who will meet me will smile back at me. A smile makes my day happy. It seems if everyone smile to one another those problems of ours little or big seemed to be gone even if for that instance only. However, should a recipient of my smile did otherwise , it's her loss. I will still smile to others.
A smile gives one an encouragement. It lifts up the spirit, most specially if it was thrown back to you early in the morning. It perks your mood up.
Besides, i prefer to have a smiling face than an unsmiling face because it somehow gives you charm.

Smiling will help people know that you are approachable. And when you smile, don't expect that people will return back the smile that you give. Whennthat happens, just think positive that probably, there's something wrong with her like maybe a problem. Smiling is also a sign of being humble. So keep smiling even if you're not sure if people will smile back at you.

Smiling is very good habit and smiley face is always attracted by every one. For me, I like to give smile to any one I know or I dont know. It was my habit from my childhood and every one likes me due to all time smile on my face, I never put off smile from my face.
When I came to Malaysia, two years back, the first thing which welcomed me on this land was smile, I really felt great about Malaysian that they ll always pass smile to every one, this is really great thing which I see in these people, I hardly seen any person without smile. I can say this that it is a smiley nation. There are three main nationalities in Malaysia native Malay, Chinese and Indian and all these three nation have one similar quality Smiling.
I think giving smile to any body doesnt cost you any thing but it can make the other person happy and this should be motto of your life to spread happiness and I think smiling is the least possible action that you can do without costing any thing.
So Keep smiling to spread happiness...:)

Well, I smile a lot. Once, somebody asked me if I was selling my teeth. lol I just can't help it. If I saw a friend or some acquaintances, i always smile at them and chat for a few minutes. I even smiled to other people even if were not friends, and we'll become friends eventually. It feels good to smile even if I'm not okay deep inside. It helps me keeping my spirits up... :-) if only i know the codes for smileys here, there will be lots of smileys popping on my posts.

I think it is true that person should always smile when you meet new people.Because it is inviting the second person that he or she feels free to talk.It could also give you better results if you are in bussiness deal. Also i personally think it is good to be smily always that gives chance to meet more people. It is just my thinking
