The feeling of time going slow

This is one of my biggest annoyances in life, it irritates me so bad, right now it is a few minutes pasted midnight and I've still got a few hours left to be awake. I know that time doesn't really go by any slower or any faster then any other time, but at times it FEELS like it. Do you ever have these days? I often do when I am looking forward to something, but the only thing I am looking forward to is my husband getting off work, which isn't anything new since it happens everyday.

Time passes slow either you're bored or you're waiting for somebody. It's a natural phenomenon. It feels like it will take forever to reach the time limit. So we find places to get ourselves busy, like you're doing. Its better we keep few works in mind and whenver we find time passing slow we try to complete those works.

Not exactly what I was looking for in the discussion, but thank you for your response. (I was more looking for how it affects you personally) I do my best and try to keep as busy as possible but... alas only 30 minutes has gone by since I started this discussion.

i totally understand what you mean... sometimes it happens to me as well... the time seems to go slower than usual and i get really annoyed and impatient while waiting... it usually happened when i am so tired and sleepy and wanted to get off work in the past... take care and have a nice day...

When I'm hit the same thing like you, I just keep myself busy until time pass by. The worst time of the day for me is the minutes before I fall asleep. It kills me, I get to remember the worst days of my life, regrets and every little thing that has something to do with sadness. So what I do, is I keep myself busy until I get so tired so I would spend lesser time trying to put myself to sleep, especially when I run out of sleeping pills. LOL.

it was a terrible accident.
When i was 12 years old,a poor boy jumped down the buildings because he thought i and others boys looked down upon him.I didnt look down upon him,I had been wanted to introduce him to other boys that often play jokes on him.I wanted him not to be pushed anymore. At the moment he falling down the 16 stories buildings time froze and my head kept stopping thinking anything.

I feel like I never sleep: I go to bed late, and I wake up early. Like you, I feel like time creeps when I wish I could sleep...I think it is like its own version of the theory of relativity. Anyway, I find that, like others have mentioned, I have to get into the things that interest me. Luckily tons of things interest me thanks to an overactive "nerd center" in my brain.
I write, I read, I cook...sometimes I just think. So my unsolicited advice (from a stranger, even) to you is CREATE something to look forward to. Sometimes it even works!
PS being a chronic insomniac also creates, for me, the frustration of others acting like I do it on purpose. Trust me, I would LOVE to be able to sleep more and feel better...I promise! :D

Life can be fast paced if we are busy and it is too slow when we have nothing to do.
It is better to make ourselves busy so we will not be waiting for the day to end.
We can do many things in just a few hours.
