Hello dear members,
Psychologists say that almost all kinds of variations are capable of producing stress. We have a wide range of stress producing situations. At one end lies partying, watching or hearing about violence on television etc. and on the other end lies extreme situation like marriage, death of the spouse etc. There are hundreds of thousands of other situation in between these two extreme points. Variation is a change of habit, environment etc. Sometimes we choose variations for our own sake whereas sometimes variations are imposed upon us. Psychologists say that a mild variation may actually better our mood. A small change in your daily habit, lifestyle can actually produce good results. For example, taking a different route to your office, listening to guitar instead of organ, or even brushing your teeth with your left hand instead of your right hand. Each such variation actually keeps our mind active. A life which could otherwise be boring can be kept exciting and interesting with variations.
Do you think variations can actually improve our life?

well yes i think there is a need of great deal of variation in our life. variation like going on a trip keeps our mind fresh. we are fed up going through the same routine everyday. so make a change in your life, take a break and make a variation.
change is the rule of life.........

Absolutely. But one has to be innovative in creating those variation. I mean, a positive and effective variation is always the product of a creative mind. Two things can be arranged in 4 different combinations, but only a few of these combination can actually prove applicable. A creative mind takes less time in finding the most effective among all possible options.

If you want to have something you've never had, you need to do things you've never done...
You need to be OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE.
Yeah, alright. Some variations in life (most of them actually) is never for us to choose where we go, but I think those variations open our eyes to the reality of life and make us learn. Like, if we have overcome a problem, we stand up as a stronger person. Like you said, life would be boring if these variations (even the simplest of them) don't exist. I mean, we're going to be like ROBOTS!
We need variations to explore life, learn about it, use what we've learned, develop our personality, go to maturity, and a lot of other things. Though sometimes these changes can make us feel really bad, we need them to improve. As we grow up, we need to face more challenges.. And I think that is one essence of growing up. Discovering new things, overcoming obstacles, succeeding...
Variations make life miserable sometimes... but wonderful mostly. It's the essence of being a human.

Hi dear,
Really nice topic. This is a daily phenomenon but normally we don’t pay attention to it. Everything we do in our day-to-day life, say, for a change…., we started something different. Whatever we do, say by saying or thing – for a change – is the same thing, I feel. Eg, we are habituated with many things and we plan for a trip, for a change, we prefer too many things in differently – yes, we would do it purposively to get rid of repetitions.
Sometime it emerges by its own or mostly we tempt to do so. As this is the psychological phenomenon, we accordingly plan everything. Mostly we goes to different places, change of job after few years, etc are few genuine psychological reactions. Even we say same type of food feel like irritating or boring, and gain we look for a change and difference. Our mind merges with the daily attitudes and wish for change. So naturally it happens and our mind reacts to it.
Also, wherever we cannot change by rule or by customs, we modifies or accept them with improvement on the same. Of course, we cannot change wives, home, children etc., as it is a possessive and considered as own. There also, we tries to get the maximum satisfaction with improving the approach and renovating of the same. Yes, there are exceptions but that all are natural and we may tend to suffer it.
Nice topic and I like the way you narrated also.

Thank-s

Yes, I think we need variations in life, otherwise things will become terribly boring. And, as humans, we constantly need to change in order for us to adapt to new conditions. It is surprising how small changes in our daily habits can have an impact in our life.

Nice one. Indeed we need variations in life despite the stress it may bring upon us. But such variations can help us grow into a better person or can give us momentary joy. It lifts the boredom in our life cause by our daily routine. I like changes and I like variations but it's up to me to handle the stress that it may bring.

Yes, like I've already mentioned, a mild stress can actually increase your overall productivity. Even motivation can be considered as a mild stress that eventually has a positive influence in your life. Stress produced by variation is not always bad as long as you know how to adapt to it. People adapt to variations from the information they gain from their own experiences. Sometimes a wide variation shocks human mind. But with proper extrapolation it eventually figures out a way to resolve all conflicts and adapt.

Has it occurred to you why women and men cheat? It is all the quest for variation. Variation adds color to life and brings creativity to the otherwise boring and monotonous life. You will definitely love to vary your food menu, wont you? That is the beauty of variation

If we have a mindset that looks at everything with eager eyes everyday, I think this is itself a variation .FOr eg, I see a parrot on my tree on some days.I see a bulbul also occasionally.I never get bored even if I see the birds on a daily basis. THe very fact that I am gifted with this is enough to make me think of it as a variation. I may cook a similar kind of food daily but everyday is a new day and when I do this with interest I do not find my routine boring at all. THere is variation in every small thing of our life as long as we perceive it.I read a book and I read a different book , a different piece of news everyday.I watch a different program too on t.v. I read some jokes or a piece that I like and that is enough for me.I chat too occasionally with my friends[including you] and this is itself a variation .
Frankly, I feel that this improvement has to come from within and this would be there even in our normal routine with minor changes if one seeks it.

yes, they can. variation keeps our minds active and helps to stimulate creativity and innovation with what could otherwise be boring activities or routines. for me it's like music--when a song that is popular gets a variety of interpretation, it can be good. variations can also be practiced in our daily lives, like the regular routines as you've mentioned. in my case when i work on something in my room, every few months i rearrange my furniture because i can get bored easily trying to face the same wall or having the same furniture closest to me every day. variety can help with my working habits and moods too.

The mind is a terrible thing to waste. I certainly on a daily basis have certainly exercised a great deal of variation and it keeps my brain recycling on a daily basis.
I find that without the variations in life, for me it can be quite boring and boring makes me unhappy.. So in order to get out of the monotony of life I have to continue to keep it up beat.

Yes, variations do really improve our life. I don't like a fixed routine in my life. I like changes, and that's why i'm into so many jobs now. Having variations in my life allows me to see things in many angles and also voicing out my opinions in other's view. It bring about flexibility to my life, allowing my to solve my problems easily, because i'm open to ideas.

That depends on the variation we do. If that's what we love, that'll be great. I do believe in that, that variation can improve our life, in some extents. We can reduce daily boredom. We can find and learn something new. we also meet new person, new thoughts, ideas, etc. That'll will lead to self-improvement, if not self-confusion, lol.

Hello biswa,
Trying to think what i can share with this.
I remember my exposures to the conflict victims in my place. Its hard to impose variation to those who needed it the most. Once in my life i became a psychosocial facilitator now changed into emotional recovery. All that is too much and or less is bad to our total being as a social human being. Many factors in our daily living that can cause stress. To wrap it out, if your not happy anymore to the kind of situation your into it then better do things to make it change. Variations depends on your taste. Making simple variations is like saving your sanity.
Stagnant water cant reach to the end . Seaweeds cant swim to the deep blue sea. Ohh !I've gone too far.Well, going back to your question. YES! it really does improve our life.

agreed... having changes so often now is helping relieve stress especially when you work all day sitting and facing your computer. moving every now and then makes it an exercise for the heart and extremities that they wont be stiffen from doing a single position for almost an hour or two. variations works!

Yes, we do, that is what makes life so interesting. I love having variation in my life, that is how I learn. You don't learn by having stoic situations in your life, and I don't know of anyone who learns that way. Life is not certain. You have to have those variations.

Yes i think variation in life is necessary as if we live the same life again and again we may get bore of this. Just like doing one thing again and again daily make us feel bore and then we don't want to do that thing again. Actually life is means for change. Happy mylotting. Regards.
