We sometimes looking for a an ideal boos to fit into our own world. Unfortunately, everybody thinks differently and your boss will not think like you do as well. By looking tt your picture , I find it funny when you said you have been working for 5 years. It seems like you are a baby who can work for 5 years even when you are only a baby. You have raise some another point here : why do employee keep on changing job in a short period of time?I think there are reasona such as looking for higher salary, higher position opportunity ,unhappy working atmosphere and many other factor as well. Dealing with a boss hwose hard to deal with can alo be a main reason in some cases. I think it is hard to find a perfect place to work in this work since we are all differences in life experience, personality and character as well. Even a male boss and a female boss will have many differeneces as well. Sometimes it i hard to decide which gender of boss will be eeasy to work iwth. I have seen female boss who is always so picky on things and demand a lot every single details from her employee. But the male boss maybe jsut a person of task oriented and always just want to get the job done, but will also ignore the feeling of his employees.I guess it really depends on the character of the boss.I wish that we can always finfs a good boss to work with although it may not be happen all the times. At the same time , we do need to grow in our life experience that we do have to deal with difficult people in our environment in order top learn interpersonal skills and be more mature on interpersonal skills. Frankly speaking, dealing with people is always a headache and sometimes fun. Well, there is always two sides in a coin. If we can see things in a positive way after we have dealt with our own feeling involve in the working relationship., I think we will all growing to be a more mature person in this world.Have a good working day

I like bosses that are open to new ideas/feedbacks and flexible with change! In my field of work (healthcare) changes occur all the time and it makes it difficult when not only your co-workers, but you boss resists a "see" differently!

I think you have made a good point in here that we work as a team in the office. Everybody is supporting each others and sometimes share idea can make the job better and the result will be great. I think there are times we do have to do follow some guildline in order to acheive what is expected to be acheived. But to raech a goal can have many ways to do that and it may not be olny one way. I think most of the leader will see things differently and always want to set control criteria for the jobs which is need to be done. Then, they will sometimes getting too boss that will ignore the good ideas from the other team members. I think a good leader or boss should be awaare of that all the times. Being a leader doesn't mean you will know it all but you can accept and analyse each opinion and advice from your team memeber. Some of the sharing and ideas are jsut so good that it will make the job better as a result. If we can treasure the idea from our team members, I think the office or company can receive the best benefit. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SHARING AND i THINK YOUR IDEA IS GREAT. iF i am your boss, I will definately pay more attention to your idea before I banned it.HAVE A NICE DAY.

Boss should be friendly and social with the employees ant treat them equally give respect and respect their emotions. they need to be treated as humans than anything else. if he doesn't have a good Behavioral character no body respects him for his position all.If he is good employees will also be good to him.

I have had many different jobs and many different bosses. I liked most of them, but there are a few exceptions for instanse my current boss. He doesn't keep the promises that he makes and he constantly forgets what he has done or said. Sometimes he tells me off because I have forgotten something, but the problem I didn't forget it - but he forgot that he didn't ask me to do it. Everyone makes mistakes sometimes, and I understand that he can't remember everything if he has a lot of work to do and many employees, but it is not easy to trust him or work for him when he constantly breaks his promises or expect me to "guess" his thoughts.

For me personally, the kind of boss that I need to work for is someone that is understanding of me and of the situations that I've had to face in my life. The reason that is the case is because my role in life of being a mother is far more important to me than any job will ever be. I need to have a boss that would understand that there will be times that I will have to miss work because of my children not feeling well or something else going on with the children.

I like the bosses who reward me "and" include me in things, and have confidence in me. One of my geat bosses who worked at Cedar Point Amusment Park used to tell some funny jokes about me. I met a girl who had a hotel room near my job exit. At night I would look up and talk to her. When my boss saw me, he made a joke that I get the little milk cartons and make a ladder so I could climb up and talk to her. He was very funny and nice, and was confident I could do my job. My boss when I taught in Detroit made me the Head of the Math Department at my school. He also threw parties and we once went to a Chinese Restaurant where I fell in love with Sweet and Sour Chicken. He had a lot of confidence in me. Lately, my boss at Cedar Point threw lunchtime parties for us workers, gave the foreign coworkers presents and going away parties, and sometimes took us out to a restaurant. We don't work with each other any more but still stay in touch. For example, last Christmas she threw a Christmas party at her house. And two weeks ago she took me out for my birthday.

Rob, I think your response shared many insight on a lasting employer and employee relationship. 1. To honor our employee is very important and make the employee feel that his work perfomance is being affirmed by his boss and recognised in the company.2. It is always to know how to respect your employee as well. Although the boss is the one who leads or pay in the company, it doesn't mean he needs always act like a big man at all time. There are times, others in the company are always keeping an eye of how the boss are treating all the employees and thy will share their feeling with other employees. If their comment is good, the boss will have a stronger leardership and influence in the company. If not, the boss will always seen as only a guy who can neverstay around with with employee.3. Your boss can tell jobs with you that means the company atmoshphere is not just task ortinted ,but people oriented since you can work with someone in a relax atmoshphere and not in a high pressure setting. 4. Dining out one a while with the employee can bulid up a better relationship at work and it will promote everlasting or a longer relationship after the job is over. I think you've been expereince lots of grace in your past working experience and on the other hand, I think you have set up a model that a good employee should learn how to get a long with his or her boss well in the working place. If we just assume that is only the responsibilty of the employer to maintain a good working relationship, it maybe too selfish. It is because any relationship is two way matter in terms of expression and communication. We as an employee needs to develope our intwerpersonal skills with our boss and with others as well. If we can do that, a more harmonize work atmoshpere can be acheived.Thank you for your response.

i dislike a bossy and inflexible boss... that is, the boss who only like to order his/her co-worker around to do stuffs but he/she doesn't or even couldn't even know how to do it... also, i dislike a boss who enforce many rules, especially if the rules can't be bend to suit the situations... take care and have a nice day...

I will include supervisors as boss in this thread. I hate to work for bosses who are yes-man, cannot make decision, know nothing about your work but like to dictate what you should and should not do, does not trust you, and hide everything from you. While I understand that they need to keep certain information confidential, what I can't phantom is when the information is not secretive and yet when you ask about it, they just keep quiet or dogde your questions.

I'd like to work for those who is efficient but very stict with employees. the efficient boss could be a good leader in the company. they can make more profit they are efficient. then I think my salary will higher. one who is efficient but very strict with employees. because I think it's more important to be strict. we should b strict with ourselves, only in that way can we make great progress. we also hard to choose, but I sometime would rather the boss is kind. if he is a kind person, I will admire him
