I really love cooking. Most of the time, I experiment especially when I ate new to my taste, I won't stop till I discover the ingredients and process of cooking it. But we're in a busy environment nowadays, and lots of instant cooking spices are available everywhere. But I myself still want my cooking to be the natural way even it will take so much of my time. I am not used with cooked food or instant. Do you still able to cook the natural way or prefer the instant flavoring for cooking?

I cooked for a family of five for years. I had three sons with 3 stomachs each. I cooked for economy. Of course my cooking ended up better than anything you buy in any other form. Now I cook for two. At least once a week I cook something that causes the whole house to smell wonderful. But for the most part I cook as little as possible.

That's the most economical way, instead of going out for instant prepared/cooked food. It's not only the budget that you consider but the healt of your children as well.

At our home, I am glad to say that we always use the natural way of cooking for our every meal time and it is really very good to eat that food. But now at hostel, I have seen different cafes which cook food by natural way but when I compare this to our home made food, it is nothing against them, the taste of home made food is really separate and you cannot forget that taste in your whole life...:) Have a nice day...:)

Actually due to increasing ailments cases which most brought about by lifestyle and food's chemcial content, there are lots of restaurant are now diverting to they claim also traditional way. They use organic and herbal ingredients, but hoomemade food still incomparable, maybe because a special ingredients of love is always in it, and concern with the welfare of family as well.

Yes lingli_78. It is satisfaction if we did something based on what and how we want something has been done. Besides if we did something with interest and passion, it will surely worth the effort.

We live in the country side. We cook our food in the natural way because artificial flavoring has lots of preservatives that can be harmful if over used and we like the taste of food cooked in the natural way

That's the advantage of living in the country side. You were not that exposed in the lifestyle in the sity, and yes, you can't just neglect doing things in the usual traditional way. We all have to prioritize our health.

Well of course, when you're in a business, you have to go with what the customers request or crave for. And you have to be creative as much as possible. You can never be against their will, and it will be your skills and profession that will be on stake. So you have to offer what pleases them.

I still prefer to cook food the natural way rather than the instant cooking. For health reasons, natural cooking method is still the best. Although instant cooking is the fad nowadays because of its convenience but the artificial flavorings that is incorporated in the package i fear has health risk which may lead to serious illness in the long run.

Most of food authorities are now convinced that some food's chemical contents is a big contributor in increasing health issues. And if we noticed, they are now back in introducing organic and herbal food contents. These means that even them found out that to much depending in instant cooked food were alarming.

I like to do my own seasoning. So many of the instant seasonings and mixes are very high in salt. Generally, that is not good for you and to me it seems that the saltiness covers up all the other good flavors.

I agree with you GardenGErty. That's my prior reason of wanting the traditional way when it comes with preparing food. Too much preservatives, high in salt which is definitely affect our health. Good thing that you seems creative and talented that you can make your own seasoning. I wish I could do too.

I do a little of both actually. It really all depends on what I am cooking, and how much of a hurry I am in. If I have the time, I like to take my time and cook things as much from scratch as possible. However, if I am in more of a hurry, I will use convenient shortcuts, and instant flavoring whenever I can.

Well, if we used to do something and we know that there was nothing bad about it, it usually normal to feel like not wanting to try for a change. Nothing wrong being a conservative cook. Just enjoy it.

All the cooking is left to my mother. For me, I cook maggi noodles or what some people call, instant noodles. For that, I use their flavourings. I know it's not that good but then, that's the best I can find. If for my mother, she would make anchovies soup, then put the noodles in and a little bit of the noodles' flavourings into it. But then again, I still prefer the natural way. It's obviously more healthy and will taste good when cooked the right way.

Atleast you are informed of possible harm it may caused you and surely it would make you atleast find time to change. But since it is really impossible for we are in a very busy environment, it would not easy to just divert into something new. Just hope that you can have it in moderation just for our health sake.

If I really don't have the time, and as usual I am always on the go, I can't help myself to prepare ready to cook foods or instant meals. I know that natural is still the best and cooking the food while using the manual way of gathering up the ingredients are always priceless but since I am always against time, I get my cooking into compromise, but I just see to it that I don't tolerate much on instant ingredients and ready made food. I always want the best for my family and healthy living for us, so I still suggest everyone to go the natural way and moderate on using chemically treated ingredients or with preservatives that can harm us.

My family would really go for cooking the natural way... I mean, living the natural way is far better than the instant way... Our doctor once told my brother to stop eating at fast foods because he will "fast die". I think it goes also like this, instant food, instant die. Instant foods are far less nutritious than organic foods or natural foods. They also contain too much preservatives that give no good to our body. If you want to be healthy, go for natural cooking. But if you think you're too busy to care for your body, go for instant food and flavoring. But sometimes we also use instant flavoring.. and if we do, we make sure we use a moderate amount only.

Actually, no one wants to die young, but it is sometimes inevitable for us to take instant food for the reason of time constraints. And you're right, it must be in moderation.

My family does it the natural way. But when I eat stuff like instant ramen I use the instant powder. Since I do not know how to cook it properly.
