MY PHILOSOPHY Of LIFE

What is your philosophy of life? After some thought I've put together some of the things that I feel most strongly about. I am not saying that I always succeed, indeed I've probably had more failures than successes but this is the pattern of life that I try to follow. Condemn no one but rather give love without judgement. Be friendly to everyone and smile often. Always be ready to listen to another for everyone we meet on life's journey come to us for a reason and to share something with us. Never compare ourselves with others for everyone is unique and brings something different to the earth experience. Respect the rights of others but strive to protect the most vulnerable in society. Know when to be quiet as well as when to speak. Never feel that your particular belief system has all the answers and never try to change others to believe as you do. Be happy and enjoy life in whatever situation you find yourself. Behave towards others as you want others to behave towards you. Can you add more? Do you disagree with any that I've listed? Why?

Hi Pose: I just think that the philosophy of life you have created it's excellent. In my case I agree with almost all of these rules. I'll try to add some of the things that I think they make part of my own list: try to smile to the people around you; hapinness or sadness depends on you in a big part. Don't forget where you come from, your parents your family and ask yourself where do you want to go and what do you want to do with your life in order to know what do you really want and what are the actions you have to do to make it. Thanks for starting this very interesting discussion. Have a nice day.

Hello Pose. I am very interested to read your topic on your philosophy of life, which attracts me a lot. I agree with all of those points listed out there because it is so true that we would make the world a better one if we could follow them. I have learned a lot from your philosophy of life. I am sure that they would guide me in my life and work in the years to come. I am wondering if everyone around us is like the way you are, it would be much nicer. Thank you for your instructive discussion and take care.

Hi William, It's good to see you again and thank you for such a kind response. I can assure you that I don't always live up to my philosophy of life, but I don't quit either. When we fail, we must just pick ourselves up, make sure that we've forgiven ourselves and and anyone else involved, and start right over again. Blessings.

I think that you have a very good philosophy of life in place! If you really put it into place all the time during your life, then you are a happy person. I find it hard to follow all the rules at all times, because there are times when you just can't smile or believe in people, or speak for yourself or just shut up. But anyway, it is great to have the rules in place, so you can always stay focused! Good luck.

Hi soleya, Thank you for sharing your thoughts and as I said in my discussion, I often fail. There is a difference between failing and giving up. We must pick ourselves up, accept the fact that we are only human, forgive ourselves, and start all over again. Blessings.

My philosophy of life is simple. While I am trying to spiritually purify myself I am bound to purge out my impurities. I am careful that my impurities do not fall on others and defile them. As I clean my house, I do not let the garbage from my house to fall in front of other people's houses.

You must have been through a lot, eh? With this post I see you as a strong person.
Let me add:
1. Don't wait for blessings, you have to make them.
2. Whenever a glass is emptied, it is again available for another set of drink(sounds figurative)
3. Accept what you are capable of to accept what others are also capable of.
4. Never be angry at others' mistake after all we commit ours too.
5. If you are tired, don't give up until another day comes. You'll realize you're willing to work again.
6. If you're consistently tired, don't be stressed. We are given a lot of options to be happy.
7. A heart in pain is characterized to become stronger.
8. Share your talent.
9. Every opportunity is different so grab as much as you can
10. Don't sin against others. Most importantly, don't sin against yourself.
A lot more... :)

I agree with your philosophy of life and I think this world would be a much better place if everyone can adhere to these principles. I would like to add that one should NOT do something that is in accordance with ones beliefs, but that can indirectly cause harm to someone else.
The poem 'If' by Rudyard Kipling is another good source of such morals for men.

for me, these are my philosophies of life that i try to adhere to:
1. always try my best in everything i do for His glory;
2. honesty is the best policy;
3. do unto others as you want others to do to you;
4. nobody is perfect including myself, thus we don't have the right to judge other people; and
5. everybody is created unique in His image, thus do not compare myself with other people.
so far, these are what i can remember of... your philosophies are great too... thanks for sharing them with us... take care and have a nice day...

I think I've got it down to about 3 rules to live by.
1. Shut up and listen
2. Do on to others as you would have them do unto you
3. Remember always you reap what you sow. This includes words, thoughts, and actions.
I guess the 4. would be keep it simple stupid.

OMG these are so great. I should print these off and stick them to my fridge. It is really hard to do all, if any of these things. let's hope we all do better. Thanks. great post.

hello pose123!
i agree with all you have mentioned here. Should we be able to live in accordance with these philosophies, we could hope for a better and more peaceful world. These things are better said than done but its not impossible to do. Given the sincerity and the earnest desire, we could live in accordance to these philosophies and more.
If i may add to these, Honesty is always the best policy and Love everyone but love God above all. i think that all covers everything. Now, we just have to follow through with these. It's difficult a task but if we really try our best, we could do these. happy mylotting!

Hi deriellevc, Thank you for your response and I agree that these things are easier said than done. That doesn't mean that we should not try. Just never give up but with each failure, we start over again, we are human after all. I certainly agree with honesty but I think that we cannot love everyone, without loving God as well. Blessings.

hi
I so agree smile with everyone,condemn no-one until you know the full story, I find that a smile cheers up most people, I also like to say hello to people who I see looking sad or lonley.
there's a saying that goes like this..
A smile is just a frown turned upside down.
You have a great philosophy of life.
Have a great day.

Hi jojo, Thank you for sharing and I agree that a smile does cheer up most people. When I say don't condemn anyone, it's because I don't believe that we can ever know the full story. We would have to experience what that person experienced, walk in their shoes, and we really can't do that. It's not an easy philosophy and I often fail but I never quit. We must pick ourselves up again, make sure that we've forgiven all involved, including ourselves, and start over again. Blessings.
