the world suffers, 176 millions or 3% of the world population were suffering from diabetes.it is just a deficiency of low blood sugar or either high blood sugar in the cell which lead cells fail to use insulin properly,.letting the patients to suffer polyuria ,polydipsia and polyphagia. why cant we control the disease without any food prohibition and without long term medication? it would be a simple disease if doc. n scientist tries hard to find a way, thats wat i think, wat is ur ideology?

It seems to me the more scientists look at diabetes, the less it looks like a single disease, and more like a group of diseases.
Diabetes is a chronic condition, and like all chronic conditions, there are many things that are left to the patient to handle. For al chronic diseases (and I have both diabetes and a chronic lung disease), there are 2 aspects- medication and lifestyle modification.
Apparently, it is not from lack of trying there is no simple cure.

Concerning Type 2 diabetes, I believe we're all eating way to much junk food and sitting in front of the TV too much. I know I do! I am pre-diabetic now and I have been monitering my blood sugar levels. For a week, I ate with no exercise and my blood sugar was a bit high. The next week. I watched what I ate, making sure to include vegetables everyday and only a junk food once a day (eating only the serving size). I did pilates everyday and made a point to go out and run around with the kids after supper(to get my heart pumping). My blood sugar was fine all week. I believe Tpye 2 diabetes is preventable and we need to start teaching our children healthy habits.

Not only is it preventable, but also curable. Doctors don't want you to know this because it's far more lucrative to keep you dependent on medications. I have been doing my own research and I find that I am having much success with supplements and, as you mentioned, trying to eat healthier. Do remember though that it's not just about the obvious junk foods that everyone knows are bad for us. There are many wolves in sheep's clothing that can have detrimental effects on our blood sugar. Foods that many would consider "healthy". A little research will show that we can indeed beat diabetes.

Everybody is trying their best now. In India I came to know that scientists invented a medicine which can serve for about 5 to 6 months and then again they have to inject the same. This will give relief to daily insulin takers.
Hope for the best.
