I was adopted as a baby and my original birth name was changed. My orginal first name was Georgia so am glad my adopted parents had it legally changed.
I'm content with my first name now. When in school, the name was so popular that some of the teachers called us by our last names. My maiden name was long and difficult to pronounce so I was called several names!
If I had to choose another first name for myself it would be Hailey. I think it's such a pretty name.

That is exactly who I mean. I just can't think of the movie that I first saw her in. I think I remember her being in a boat but that is about it.

I guess I'm content with my name, although I added an i at the end to make it Ruthi instead of Ruth, taking away the "formal feeling". I wish that when I was younger I'd have been called Ruth Anne, using my middle name, too. A few have for some reason called me that naturally and I love it. But I've been Ruth or Ruthi for so long now I doubt I could make everyone switch to Ruth Anne. Besides, it's not what's in my name that defines me, it's what's in my heart.

I am perfectly happy with my first name, but I did change my last name, and not because of marriage. I refuse to ever change my name because of marriage. I took my mother's maiden name, because it's Danish, and because I did not want to be handed from my father to my husband upon marriage. When I got married I kept my name.

I would change my name to something more original than Rebecca. It's not that I know a ton of people with my name, but it sounds so boring and plain and old-fashioned and doesn't suit my personality AT ALL lol.
Maybe something more dramatic, like Cassandra. Or a unique twist on a common name, like Ananda instead of Amanda. Or a name that sounds like a pretty girl instead of a plain one!

Will for one all the Rebecca's I ever new were not plain or boring. Unique maybe but not boring and also all have been smart. Okay sure I have not met to many Rebecca's but still? Oh my goodness do I ever love that name Ananda. Did you think of it yourself?

There is a series of young adult books by Madeline L'Engel; the "Wrinkle In Time" series. In one of the books, they have a dog named Ananda, it means something majestic and important but I forget what.

I would change my name to Rose because I think it is a beautiful name and the flower is also my favourite type of flower.
Also, people always have problems pronouncing my name because my mum got my name, Helena, from Spain where they do not pronounce h's. As a result, I got brought up as my name pronounced as Elena. I do try and correct people when they first meet me but I don't want to sound rude and a lot of people just forget and always call me many variations of Helena which I find a bit annoying.

My friends daughter is name Helena and I have to admit I find it hard to say, They are Finish so I am not sure it is pronounced the same way as you would pronounce yours. Do you know if the Finland pronounces the name the same way?

Well I pronounce my name E-le-na but I've heard many variations like E-lay-na, He-le-na and He-lay-na.

If I could change my first name I would change it to something that sounds beautiful and that is deserving of a unique individual like myself. I would do this because I am not fond of my own name as I feel that it is a much to common, and therefore, boring, name.

I bet your personality brings its own uniquiness to that oh so common name. Keep being yourself.

I would not change my name. It is a nice combination, neither too rare nor too overused. It is a gift from my parents. I like it.

How nice to have a name you like so much. Do you have any favorite names you like to hear?

I wouldn't change my name. It wasn't very popular while I was growing up and it's spelt differently. It's a part of who I am and my personality now.

Nice you feel that way. Do you know any people that you think their name doesn't suit them?

Oh! ya ... I would change my name to slash-The junior. Coz I'm such a fan of THE NO1 GUITARIST on the earth - SLASH. Been dreaming about giving a solo performance on the upcoming fest in my college. Guess what I've been practicing sweet child 'o mine solo for months. Hope everything would go as my plans..
Guys wish me good luck! I am in need of it..Like hell lots of them.

You mean Slash is the name you like? Slash - if so I can't say that is appealing to me but then again it doesn't have to be does it? If it is the name of the guitarist I wonder if the letters S L A S H actually stand for something and that is how he came up with the name? Wish you the best with your Guitar playing.
