I'm not really sure how you find out what fragrance type is for you. I just pick a fragrance and smell it. If I like it then I will spray it on my arm or hand and see if it smells good on me. If it does then I will get it and wear it. If you like those fragrances and you think they smell good on you then buy them and wear them.

I like to try different fragrances. But I do have a favorite. I like AVON's Imari. The scent really lasts on me. I don't like it when you purchase some perfume, and the scent fades quickly.

I have several perfumes I like and it depends on the occation which one I wear. I have a Paloma Picasso for parties, a Nona Ricci for evenings and a Dior that my husband loved when I used it for family occations.

I don't know how you can figure it out either, but I have heard some 'experts' say that the same perfume can smell different on different people. Now I have no idea how that works at all so I just go by the perfume that i like the smell of. My favorite fragrance is Gucci Envy, while it's a really strong scent it does smell wonderful.

This is an interesting question and I do find it a bit difficult to figure out sometimes myself LOL. But I usually pick out the fragrance that is not that strong nor too mild when you put it on you. And I agree that it varies from person to person. It depends on how it suits your body and how you smell after that day has passed. Some perfume or cologne stay longer and lasts til the end of the day but some disappear as soon as you get in that busy street or that bus or train filled with people. I still think it is a trial and error kind of thing.

I don't know the answer to this, all I can do is relate my personal experience. I have found that sometimes the smells I like best don't work with my body, and same with my wife. It seems the initial "oooh" factor on smelling a nice perfume changes after time on your body - interacting with your oils and scents. I find it is best to find something that both of us like, and try it for the day. If at the end of the day I keep smelling it, I know it is for me. Unless of course by the end of the day my wife is telling me I stink, then I go take a shower and no to try something else next time. I find that mostly the things I like after letting them sit the day-long test end up being pleasing to others as well.

I know mine...it's Sweet Thang... but that's only because I went to the mall when I was at the San Diego Mall and the clerk helped me out...you should try going to your local mall's perfume section and asking a clerk for help...Happy My Lotting Hope I helped! :)
