yes the shrek version was fun to listen, it made me smile and remember how donkey is annoying. but i agree with you that any version of the 12 days of christmas is fun. OST of home alone makes me smile too. it makes me remember the movie and wanted to watch it all over again. thanks a lot for the response

"White Christmas" is probably my favorite. Both movies it's featured in make me cry (in a good way), and I really, well, do enjoy white Christmases. I especially loved listening to it when I lived in California- the only thing I didn't like about where I lived was the lack of snow.
"The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting...)" is another favorite, as is "Silver Bells." I love the city around Christmas. It's just beautiful, and I think "Silver Bells" is a wonderful song because of its description.

most of the Christmas songs I like are a bit sad. I don't know why so many of them are, but it has a beauty to it.
my favourite is Fairytale of New York, by the Pogues. it's a bit of a heartbreaker, but very beautiful.
if you like comedy Christmas songs, Proper Chrimbo and Don't let the bells end are funny.

maybe it is sad to show the solemnity of the song, i just dont know it is only maybe that is the reason. older people are more serious so there are more serious songs before than now. i will check on the songs you suggest, i need to listen to more funny christmas songs for i will be leaving abroad to work for three months and i wont be with my family for chirstmas and new year so i need a lot of that. thanks a lot for the response

I would have to say that my 2 favorite Christmas songs are:
Christmas Eve in Sarajevo by The Trans-Siberian Orchestra
and
We Three Kings, no particular artist performing it.

since i was a kid i always hear the we three kings, at church or at the carolers. it is one of the songs that has a great feeling for me for after new year, the first sunday of the month of january we celebrate three kings and we put our shoes at the stair ways we shine our shoes first before we put it there. and when we wake up in the morning there are goodies on our shoes. now that i am a dad all this celebration i will let him experience. thanks a lot for the response

My top favorite Christmas song of all time is "Do They Know It's Christmas" by Live Aid. I love this song so much because of its relevance. It was written and produced for a good cause. All the biggest UK stars of the 80s, headed by Bob Geldof, bonded and banded together for this song and helped feed the world. And of course, the song itself is amazingly brilliant!
