Goodbye CashGopher!

After having installed CashGopher right after it became available, I have not earned even one red cent! Nada! Nothing! Zip! Zero!
Therefore I have uninstalled it. It's just not worth it. And guess what? My computer is running much better without it! And I had to uninstall it from my FireFox browser AND my computer.
I would really love to know just how in the world you can make any money with CashGopher. I'm in the U.S. and spend a lot of time of the Internet every day, and I surf here and there and everywhere. I read articles, click on ads, post to many different sites besides MyLot, and generally do a wide variety of things online.
Yet, my earnings with CashGopher are nil! And it has proven to be a pain the butt for my own computer. I've spent 25 years as a career computer scientist, and I know when things just aren't right. I really haven't taken the time to analyze CashGopher thorougly, but I do know the difference between a smooth running computer and one that balks and bogs down. And I've done nothing different than uninstall CashGopher.
So how about you folks out there? Do you have any horror stories regarding CashGopher? Or maybe you've made a ton of money already with it. I'd love to hear about any updates you may have in your own situation! And if you've even managed to cash out with it, I'd like to know how in the heck you did it!

I uninstalled it after a few days of joining it. After what I've read with other mylotter, I was convinced that it is worthless. ;)

Well, it seemed to be not only worthless to me but my computer seemed to have more problematic issues too! And since I have gotten rid of CashGopher, I can honestly say that my computer has been behaving a lot better. Perhaps it just doesn't like my particular hardware/software configuration. I just wish I knew for sure what the secret is to making money with CashGopher - it seemed like a good idea at the time.

I've been curious about CashGopher, but nervous to try it! But from the looks of this post, nobody has had a good experience with it!!! I think I just won't even bother with it then and save myself some grief!

Yep, save yourself some hassle! I have heard that some others have made some money from it, but I've not conversed directly with anyone who has cashed out on it yet. I wish I knew what the secret was to making some cash with it, but I'm not going to bother with it anymore. Maybe it just doesn't like my computer or the sites that I visit.

You just did the right thing. But I am a little surprised to hear that you earn nothing from it even if you come from USA. It seems they should pay better for American users. Cashgopher was released on September 1st. I had been eager to try it. I had been active online for several days. However, my total earning is just one cent. This is too discouraging because I can't see I will ever reach the minimum payout since the earning is so little. Besides, my anti-virus software warns me to uninstall this software. I don't want to take a risk to keep it on my computer for such low payment. So finally I decided to remove it from my computer and I won't try it again.
I love China

I am really surprised too that I didn't make even one penny! You are right that it's just not worth the potential hassle when earnings are so low. I don't think I will try it again. At least not for a long time. But perhaps they will make improvements to it in the future. Until then, I'm not happy with it on my computer at all.
Thanks for commenting and letting me know how you made out! :-)

this is Elic on Maggie's computer
the trick with CashGopher is to let it run when you AREN'T using your computer - you leave your computer on and it runs stuff when you aren't using it - so if your computer is either off or in use, then CashGopher isn't going to do anything
It is kind of like those virus' that send out spam on your account after taking over your computer... except I'm sure it doesn't do that or mylot would've never been encouraging us to download and install it. I don't EVER believe that mylot would do anything so dangerous to its people. But I have no idea what they are using them for...

Sadly, even that trick never did me any good. My computer stays on 24 hours a day - I never shut it down. And I still didn't make even one cent!
I'm sure MyLot would never intentionally foist a virus or spam on us with CashGopher, but software has a way of manifesting unanticipated effects. I used to be a programmer and wrote a lot of my own software, and I know that it's impossible these days to create perfect code that works perfectly on every computer configuration.
All I know is that both my computer and I are happier without it.

I don't like downloading toolbars, anything for that matter, so I waited for some discussion posts to appear on this critter. Glad I did, as it solidified my opinion of downloads, ha, way too many discussions all over the net about it not being a real good thing; although, to be fair, I have to say I have read that a few have been paid and have no issues with this one.

I wish it could have worked out for me, but such was not to be I guess. I don't understand why I never made even one cent, but it doesn't matter anymore - I'm done with it for a good long time! I wish some of those folks who have been paid would reply here to my discussion, so I could pick their brains. I'm still curious what the secret is for success with it.

I was like a member of cash gopher since its launch and do you want to know how much I had earned so far? 79.......cents. Oh crap it takes forever, This is only going to work for people who were good at getting refferrals. It promised I will earn doing nothing but it still requires work and that work is getting refferrals.I wont uninstall it though but I have a felling it will take a year before I reached payout. I hope some improvements will happen.

I hope some improvements will happen too! Until then though, I'm steering clear of it. But still, I'm glad that somebody somewhere is making a few cents!

Thanks lingli_78! I've only heard a few positive comments about it third hand, so I can't verify that it's working for some people. I've noted though that I still received email from CashGopher for a time after I uninstalled it. I still may have to specifically unsubscribe from the emails.

i uninstalled the cashgopher software too and quitted the program me too!!In reality this system did not work for em and my activity probbaly and so i quitted i guess that for many other members it cna eb a good opportunity but for me earnings was too low and in reality the idea to have a kind of keylogger installed on my pc during my activity never liked me too mcuh so considering you can earn just soem cents or almost nothing daily i decided that this system did not worth for me at all!!

I haven't had a single earning from CashGopher since I installed it in my laptop. I really don't understand it either. Windows are popping in my screen everytime I use my laptop and the url starts with cashgopher. I thought I'd be earning with those popups but everytime I check my cashgopher account there isn't a single cent in my account. Maybe I should uninstall it later in my laptop.
Thank you GDTimothy for bringing this up. I thought I was the only one with that situation.

Yes, I was seriously wondering if I was the only one not making any money with it too! From the other folks who have responded, it appears that those who are making out successfully with it are few and far between. But at least my computer and I are feeling better now that I've uninstalled it!

I am still giving it a chance. So far I have a measly sixty cents and I surf a lot too. I am trying to be positive about it but I am starting to doubt if I would ever reach payout. Maybe another month or so.
I am just wondering what harm it can do to my computer
