We have a chef in the family..my brother in law. He will be making omelets. Some of the other guests will be bringing a dish or two. I think this is a super idea. It will cut down on the cooking time! What dish would you want to have or to bring? I'd like some ideas.

The things that are always a hit here are seven layer salad and cheesy potato's obrien. It's an awsome idea to do this to cut down on the cooking time and everyone can make their specialty and take their pan home to wash which would also make things easier with one less pan to wash on your end.

I forgot all about the 7 layer salad! Yummo! Going to have to put that one on the "to bring list"

Christmas time is always fun. you get to spend time with family and relatives but the down side is you get to break your diet. LOL! I envy you for having a chef in your family. For sure he cooks really great food on special occasions such as Christmas. If I'll have to bring something, I always go for the dessert, I have a sweet tooth and I always leave some space for dessert. So, I'll probably bring an apple pie and vanilla ice cream to top it. It sounds really yummy. I'm getting hungry. LOL!
