My 2 days holiday off just started. I want to relax from work. Better my Boss now concerned with me. He give me 2 days holiday off. If you are on my shoe what I am going to do. Sleep all day long for 2 days or have a trip to different places so I can see the nice place of Saudi Arabia? One of my colleagues open a topic this evening before I leave the office that we were going to the dessert to witness the beauty of the area which I didn't see in my in real for my whole life before I came here. Should we pursue our plan? give me an idea what is the best to do while having my 2 days off?

Go and make the most of your holiday. All work and no play makes a person ill..

I agree both of you. Being workaholic can make you sick. I felt I always sick in the office. 9am in the morning I felt sleepy specially when I am infront of my computer but when I am in my room I am active specially doing myLotting maybe because it's very bored in the office.

Aside from sleeping we also did shopping in the mall. Atleast I saw some people from different countries who are present in the mall at that time. We eat alot in our favorite restaurant and have fun walking around with friends. Fantastic experience we have.

Man! grab those camera and explore while you are there! Its already an opportunity for you guys to enjoy the view of the current place you are now in. Explore and enjoy and you can take some sleep after the adventure anyways. Its also relaxing to see nature and all, buy something for you to eat as well. Just be careful with the laws there as well too, always stay safe but have fun!

You are right mate, every free time I should spend it with leisure and be fun on it although the laws here is very strict and sometimes we felt afraid not to go out. So far everytime I go out I am not alone, I go out with my friends and colleagues.

Hi july teen: I think that 2 days off are an excellent period of time to do both things: to sleep, maybe to read a book but also to make some plans like for example to make a trip and see the dessert. I love to sleep but it's always good to have these special experiences.

The plan end up only sleeping in the whole day. My friends left early in the morning and I was still sleeping and even I was called many times, I didn't awake I sleep very well. The whole 2 days was dedicated to sleep, sleep, sleep. I was refresh from all the stress I felt for more than 6months working.

If I were you I should take the advice of your friend to go to the dessert.. It's time for you to explore new places. At least you know more about Saudi Arabia. It's time for you to have a real holiday. Stop wasting time by doing nothing on your holiday, it's not that always that your boss gave you a holiday off. Take advantage of that given days were you can relax and explore...

On our first attempt to went in the dessert I wasn't able to go with them because they left 4:30am. I am not sure the departure time that is why I sleep almost 4am. So when they called me I didn't awake even they called me many time. I only saw their nice photos in the dessert. I was regret but still okay because I sleep the whole day and I felt very relaxing.

Vacations are a really great way to relax. Your two days off will be over in the blink of an eye, yet you have to occupy yourself to experience more. Try shopping at a store, and then go to that dessert you were talking about. You will need a lot of rations, including food and water to make the trip a safe one. Meanwhile do take photos, and post a follow up discussion about your trip when you find time.

When I have holidays like that, I drive out of town along the highways and enjoy the nice refreshing countryside. Working long hours for days at work in the city certainly get very stressful at times. I need to have a different environmant once in a while to relax and get rid of all the stresses of the week.

It is really different when you are working within the city. It seems your surrounding is narrow and the traffic add the stress. It's better in the Philippines you can see alot of nice places without experiencing to much heat. You can also passed by to different wonderful environment and you can climb different height of mountains. I missed my hobby while in the Philippines I always go to the mountains everytime our group invite me to have a climb.

What a hectic schedule you have right now my friend. We don't have christmas break here because christian is not allowed but we can get together in private room here in our staff compound. I don't know if I will be happy at that time because this is the first time I celebrated a Xmas away from my family and friends. I hope it will not a very sad moment with my colleagues.

Hi julyteen! I suggest that you go out and have some fun. Being in the office or inside the office is quite stressful so better yet, go out to some fun-filled places and relax. Enjoy your holidays!

I agree with you my friend. Staying inside the compound although you are not reporting on duty still the stress still in yourself because you always see the building where you are working. I live in the staff compound, 50 meters away from the hotel. It's very near and everytime I eat I will enter to the hotel cafeteria. It seems that I am still working.
