Hello everyone
My job does not include any physical work at all. I have gained some weight recently which is terrible. I have tried to lose weight by doing exercises or eating less, but its not working. What am I supposed to do?
I think we should have a break time to relax and to do some exercises. Its not only for keeping fit but also for getting enough energy to keep working.

I have the same problem as yours. It's really difficult to lose weight when you work at an office. You don't lose calories and at the same time I gain a lot because when I',m pressured and at my desk, I eat snacks. I guess, self-control and discipline will play a big part on a healthy diet. I walk to and from work and at least it doesn't make me gain weight that much as I used to. It helps a little I believe.

self-control is a major problem, it is always difficult to keep doing one thing that you normally dont do.
Lets hope we will lose weight soon or later, hehe:P

try walking to work and walking back home... and try standing up when doing some office work if that's even possible. use the stairs instead of the elevator. whenever it's your break time, make time to walk around the office area and choose snacks that offer less calories...

Maybe you could try taking the stairs instead of the lift, cut down on your snacks and maybe do some light exercise, eg : stretching, in the office. It will help to loosen your tense muscles so that you can continue to work.
good luck :)

I don't have any idea on what to do in losing weight while sitting in the office. But I can give you a simple advice like after eating lunch you must stand just for 10mins. so that the food you eat will digest properly and put in a proper place. Also avoid eating fatty foods and acidic drinks. Prefer to eat vegetable menu and drink juices rather than cola. Take exercise at least twice a week for an active and healthy body.

There are a few ways to add some steps to your daily steps. You can park further away and walk from the furthest spot in the parking lot. Better than that you can ride your bike to work if that's possible. Get up at least every hour or so and walk to get a drink of water or go to the bathroom. Try using the stairs instead of the elevator. All these little steps will help.

don't use the elevator. when you are sitting, get up and walk once in a while, for instance walk briskly when you are going to the restroom, but losing wait is so hard when you are just sitting in the office. You have to move and sweat to lose weight. Buy PS3 move and play Gladiator after work. You will surely lose weight after a month of playing.

Try laughing. Hard. It will also improve your mood. Also, bob your legs. i agree, there should be more businesses that practice keeping workers fit. As an option though, not as a regime. Although, maybe we should force people to get off of their rears and move.

hello!
I dont know if anyone could loose weight just by sitting in the office..
you dont get to sweat because of the temperature inside.
after work could be....
just continue your physical exercises, and diet. lessen your snacks, softdrinks, and carbs...
avoid too much oily foods. steam foods are good!
if your feeling a little starve, just drink water.
