i came from a conservative family to start of. actually i already have a tattoo and i had my first last january. Its not that i am not obeying my parents its just that what they are being judgmental on people who has tattoo. Common notion here in our place is that oif you have tattoo , either your a mafia, gangsta or you came straight out of jail. Nowadays im thankful that tattoo has a whole new meaning, most of actors or actresses now has tats and when asked they always say its a representation of something. I want to know your point of view regarding girls who has tattoo...

I don't really care much about tattoo, as it is not going to make me anymore clever and beautiful or ugly and stupid, but it just all about fashion noawadays. Anyone can get it as long as they are OK with the pain and that they pay for it with their own money. It is going to be 2011 anyway, and no one should tell us that we should live like people before or we should live like the way someone else did whatsoever. Because at end of the day, the risk is in our hand Good luck and have a nice day

i understand you completely. my mother never wanted me to have a tattoo but i had always wanted one. i wasn't disobeying her either but i was grown enough to get it and she didn't like it but she dealt with it. and then i got a few more and she just got a little more unhappy but she can't really do anything about them now. i like my tattoos each one has a meaning to it and why i got them. but i do wish i could take back a couple of them. it would make things a little easier for me. i forgot to think about job interviews and things of the matter. but i think if a girl wants a tattoo she should be allowed to have one without being judge on where it is and why she may have gotten them.

thanks thuynhu for sharing your thoughts on this. my tats are well so far i have them placed at my back do i can still hide it until i got a job that can really make me financially stable that's the time that i'll have inked in places that can be seen. although the cross at my back is somewhat seen well i just think that wont be a problem when im being interviewed. thank you! happy mylotting!

I remember when I used to draw on my arms when I was younger, my parents would yell at me. When I got my first tattoo, I was afraid to show it to them, so I kept it hidden for over a year(didn't live with them then). Eventually, I got some nerves to tell them, and they didn't say anything to me. I don't regret getting a tattoo but I don't know if I will be adding anymore, now that I know how much I've changed. The design has to be something very important to me, if I ever get one again.

I don't see anything wrong on getting a tattoo on a women's skin. Tattoo is an art. Our oldies thinks that only jailed person who has it. So they don't want it. Some think woman is like tramp. What matter is your freedom to express yourself. If having a tattoo can do that for your. Then you should go for it.

Personally, I wouldn't get a tattoo because I'm scared of the pain! lol, but I think that if anyone wants to get a tattoo, they should and not let anyone change their minds. Everyone has the right to express themselves through a tattoo if they so please. It's their body and their right. I wouldn't do it, but it's not up to me or anyone else to make that decision. I think there are a lot of girls who look really awesome and beautiful with tattoos. As long as they do it safely, it's a-okay. I think people really are too judgmental these days. I can understand that some use tattoos to represent gangs and such, but if a girl or guy is not getting a tattoo like that, what's the harm? :)

Women with tattoo's are perceived as having a reputation of sorts you could say. I think though with anyone it's all about the design and placement being tasteful. Though it is more in fashion for women to get tattoo's now days.

I'm a woman and I have 9 completed tattoos and one that is not complete, although none of mine are personally elaborate. Each one is a symbol of something in my life. I have sets of initials, runes, and tiny designs... indicators of where I've been and my experiences. I've never been in a gang or to jail and I'm certainly not maifa :p I have them as personal reminders of who I am and where I've been, although different people get them for different reasons.

"i have them as a personal reminders of who i am and where i've been" I really love this zoey..we kinda have the same point of view..yes you're right some people get tattoo for a different reason and so thats the reason why tattoo has that bad notion. thank you zoey for sharing! i would love to see your tats ( if possible heheh ) thanks and happy mylotting!

it really depends a lot on the placement, size and colors of the tattoo so if a girl has a tattoo it usually tells me about what type of girl she is when i see her tat and where it is and what design it is

ohh...what a good timing! i just met my sister-in-law today and she has this really nice tattoo with my bro's name on it. i really wanna have one, too, with my bf's name on it. i think tattoos are nice as long as it doesnt occupy most of the skin. for me tattoo is just a mere design and a freedom of expression. i dont use it to judge people. =)

hushi thanks for having a broadmind on this. mmm...about having tattoo of your boyfriend's name..im not being negative but they said its like a jinx to have your man's name on your skin. i just dont know..all the people i know who had their boyfriends/girlfriends name on their skin and after sometime they split up.. but its always up to you..probably its just some coincidents.. thanks for sharing! happy mylotting!

hi switlyf, i guess with your parents it is an age thing. today as you say it is a much more common thing to see girls with a tattoo. i love them myself but feel as a woman i would tire of the same design on my body forever even if i truly loved it when i chose the special design. it would have to be special designed for and by you as it is so naff to go somewhere and find someone else with the same tatoo. as for your parents don't give them too hard a time they probably think that you were made perfect as their little girl so why mess with perfection.

hi gnomeland! love your nick!! =) yes indeed! i agree, my tattoo is special design so i dont worry walking around bumping to someone with the same design ( which i think is kinda awkward?ahahah ) well i got your point about my parents..probably thats really what they are thinking thats why they are againts tattoo.. thank you so much for sharing and happy mylotting! =)

well, i think tattoo is so cool, and make a woman looks sexy. but i dont think i want to have 1 or more in my body. yes, we are young now, but when we are growing older, married, and have kids. then we will realized that it is wrong, and feel so sorry for our children. your children will make you as an example. and what happen when your daughter grow older and decide to have 2 and more tattooes in her body and found out that she is addicted to it? you will regret it, wont you? that is only example.i myself always thinking to far for my future children life better than to get what i want.

well this is kinda different point of view. as for me i have two kids, they saw my tattoo already and they dont think of getting one now, but if in the future they decide to have some representation of phases in their lives inked in their skin that wont be a problem with me.. thanks for sharing your view! happy mylotting!
