Where do you want to travel? Whole world or your country first?

Hello again friends, i was just looking the sections and this stopped my eyes, because last days we talked with a friend that when i got more money, i want to visit more places in my country. I know a lot of people, who travel in different countries, that's where they got holidays, but i asked myself - do you know all places in your own country, that you want to cross the borders? I was in Romania once and i liked it really much, so different than Bulgaria and we live so close to each other. I got no photos from there, but i wish i did some, when it was possible. Never mind, i know that my country got really nice places and next time i got money, i prefer to visit my home land before visiting the others. Other countries got different culture, and for sure, they can surprise me with different life, but home is home, where i feel better, than wherever i go. I want to make an album with photos for people, who never visited Bulgaria and a website, about the interesting places, because here we got really old culture and our society has a lot of memories. Old capitals, different nations lived on our land. I want to see with my own eyes, not on pics, not to read in internet, what is it there now, may be then i'll go somewhere else to learn how the other countries survived during the years. What about you? Where will you go next time you got money for traveling? Is there places in your own country, where you've never been and want to visit, before meeting the whole world?

Of course I want to travel in my country first here in the Philippines.. I've been to lot of places already here in the Philippines but it's still not enough.. I need and want to explore more the beautiful places here in my country. I know what it can offer is much more than any other place in the whole world.. I know what we have here is the same to what other country has..

I really like people, who loves their countries. Some national thinking is there and i admire it a lot. It's great that you want to visit many places in your own country too. For me, visiting other countries is kind of love for the adventures, and visiting your own country places is love for your home.

Hello Felcilicious :) People who are interested to see other countries are not interested because they don't have interesting places in their own country. Just the way one nation and other nation live is different. Everywhere in the world, traditions are different, nature is nice, but different. I'm sure that what you got there, we don't have it here and what we got here, you don't have it in Philippines. I think that the meaning of the places comes because of their history. All the countries has their own history and has walked on different ways to become the countries what they are now. This is interesting for me.

I agree with chaoz..Philippines have so much more to offer.Conquering the 7,107 islands is quite interesting. We have many tourist attractions in our country. IF you love beach, whether silver sand or white sand we have it. If you're a nature lover and wanna explore the wonders of God's handiwork we have our Palawan underground river, so amazing because of its natural formation. Why will we go first in other country if we have it already in our place..

Hello friend, India seems like dream for me. But for now, i just want to visit my own country, because i was not good at the history at home, and it was not interesting for me. The past is not so magical here - wars with Turkey and so on. But i like to watch beautiful views, even for a day, i would like to visit all of our cities. India is one of the grate places in the world. I love nations with old traditions and who keep the spirit up, always. Is it true that for the people, who live in India elephant is sacred animal? Do you still keep that tradition? I would love to know people, who respect animals as much as they respect the people.

I can meet an Australian person and they will probably tell me they have visited lots of places in my home country and I will be able to say that I have seen more of Australia than my home country. That is the way it has been because I am eager to travel to far away places. In 2008 I took my disabled toddler son on a long weekend to Northumberland, that is n my home country. There we saw a castle, a beautiful beach, a garden with a tree house and went on a boat trip around the Farne Islands. would very much like to do a long weekend in Yorkshire so I could see Scarborough, Whitby and Robins Hood Bay. The pull to go off overseas is stronger though. At the moment I buy an adult fare, a child fare and an infant fare. That on a long haul flight is expensive. I wish to go on another really great long haul trip before my one year old daughter gets to two years old when she will have a child fare. That will make my trips way more pricey. So I have a long trip of overseas destinations that I wish to visit. Most of all I dream about visiting South America. Perhaps I will be able to go for a long weekend to Yorkshire.

But I want to learn diving first because there are so many great diving spot thats I love to see and its no others place better than my own country Indonesia. Travel abroad also tempting because Singapore and Malaysia offer really law rate for airlines you can visit their country with thirty US dollar and with rate lower than domestic travel. Its really tempting .

Hi Suggar! I would want to visit the tourist spots first here in my country. There are a lot of places that I have not yet visited and to think that there are 1,107 islands in my country, lol! After that, I would really want to experience also travelling overseas. I love travelling, although right now, I am a stay-home mom so it's difficult for me to go travel on a whim, nevertheless, I am sure one of these days, I'll be able to travel in Paris, that is the one country I would like to go first. :-)

Sure I would want to travel round the world if I can afford. When we are young, it is better to travel out far leaving the nearer and nearest country for old age. This is to ensure as we aged, we are still able to travel. lol.

I'm not much as a traveller. But if given a chance, of course I do want to explore places. But I would take time first to be familiar in places within my country before getting farther. So I would be able to see differences between other countries'pride from our own claimed our pride.

That's true, if you prepare yourself with history and some views, that will help you to know better the place you go to see. I was not a traveler one year ago, but now i'm bored at home, because this is all we do, nearly every day and it's annoying. I feel like the world is moving and i live in a locked cave.

in the first place, our country (india) is so big that i think that trying to visit every nook and corner will take up my lifetime. so, maybe the best way to deal with it will be to visit every state and feel the diversity in cultures. i've already visited many of them and have even stayed at some for quite long. on the other hand, if i make a list of the places around the world that i wanna visit, it will be kinda endless. for that matter i wanna visit everywhere if possible. as to my favorite destinaions that i wanna visit...well, it's really hard to choose as favorites. however, i'd like to visit countries and places with great natural beauty like switzerland, austria, germany, france, italy, etc...in fact, the Alps mountain area. i've always been fascinated by places like norway, sweden, iceland, greenland, alaska, etc. i wanna see the aurora borealis somewhere around there. New zealand is another great place for tourists with its great natural beauty. i wanna go to the innumerable pacific islands too. Ireland and the British isles as well as whole of Europe. then on the other half of the globe, i wanna see those sites of some of the early and advanced civilizations like the Mayas, Incas, Aztecs, etc. i'd love to feel the mountainous terrains of the Andes in South America as well as the Rockies in North America which run along their western sides. the Himalaya mountainous regions in Asia. of course i wouldn't wanna miss out on Africa with its great variety of wildlife. like i said, the list will be seemingly endless. in short, i wanna feel and see every place on on Mother Earth, and even beyond if possible.

If i got that chance, in future i'll make myself to do list for whole year with 10 or 20 places, where i want to go. The key of the goal, for me is one person to put for himself some normal aim, not a dream, to fly after it, because there are dreams that we can't reach, whatever we do. If we know ourselves enough, it will be easier. If i know that it's too expensive for me to go in other countries, i'll choose interesting places in my country and this is how i'll fill my to do list for year traveling.

I can travel around my own country anytime of my life since I'm living in there, but not always with another country. So if I have a lot of money, then I would of course consider to go to the places I really want to visit as well. It's not bad and wrong to choose to go somewhere where you really like to go first. Plus I can experience and see how other people live too and I can learn and listen to their languages. I don't all fancy going around the city and beaches but I love climbing mountain, trekking jungles, and so on. When I'm older and not fit and active enough to travel to another countries around the world, then I will start just touring my own country as it will be cheaper because maybe I won't be working anymore, and also easier to get home and to get help if I get in an emergency since I will be old and I'm in my own country. Have a nice day

Oh, of course it's not bad or wrong if you want to visit other countries. I didn't mean to say that. I was just interested to know what people would like to. For me, i dream for calm places, i'm kind of pissed off of the cities. For others - they want to go in big cities and just to see some things or to check by themselves how the other people live. Both things are amazing - traveling is amazing. So many changing pictures.

Traveling around the world is something really expensive. But i still know people, who loves the nature and save from their little payments every month little amounts, this is how every year they go to a holiday. Two years ago i met one guy who worked at the same company like me, who told me that he traveled few days in the countries around mine, with his own car. I don't know where he had to go. I'm not sure he knew also, but i know, that he got great memories to share with me. Exiting. Actually i admire people, who got interest to know other places, than their home. Also people, who save from their little payments because they has one aim - to have a great rest days somewhere. It's amazing.

Hello Florencia, i know some people, who live in Europe and always travel for business meetings or because of some other business reasons. I wish i had the same work, or i wish i had a good company, which earn me enough money to travel with my boyfriend. I was talking with some of this people soon and one of them said - i'll be in London next week. Wow, what a schedule. My schedule for the next week is to stay at home, working on my computer - what is boring schedule.

I haven't been in a ton of places within my country, but that's okay with me. I think that the US is a little boring, actually. Haha. I have been to Japan, Jamaica, Canada, and England, though. I would love to visit Italy and other areas in Asia such as China and Thailand. I really enjoy travel and the more places I go, the better. Like you said, though, home is home and is quite nice. Although I've traveled, I do get homesick a little bit sometimes, but in the end, it's really worth it. I want to go anywhere I can in the world, to Spain, to Italy, to Australia, and just experience a plethora of different things.

You've been in a lot of countries, i know that Canada is a great place for living. I got friends, natural canadians, who say that and some of them retell me stories by the life of people there, also i watched a movie of Michael Moore, where he shares some things about the canadians and how they live. For USA i know only the american dream, you know, it was popular all over the world, people wanted to go in USA to live there. I don't know how it is, but i hope people there live good, without suffering. Visiting others countries for me, can give you another point of view, than you have now. I think that this is why we were born, to change and build and build again our believes, knowledge, our truths.

Own country first. Not only is it cheaper but I think it's better to explore your own first to know more about your history and meet people of different ethnicity and besides there's and dialects. Besides, there are lots to explore in our country, I've only seen very few so far and I intend to see more. I've just recently came back from Hong Kong, it's my first time to be out of the country and it was fun! I enjoy traveling in and out of the country!

Well, because I live in the U.S. and I haven't made it to all the states, if I got some extra money, I would like to go to some of them. However, I live in TEXAS and I've not even seen all the sights in this state, so I guess by substituting Texas for your nation, you can see, that I could probably do weekend trips around Texas and not see all there is to see either. And, no joke, it does take all DAY to drive across Texas! It is over 1000 miles from El Paso in the far west to Orange in the far east on Interstate 10. It takes you from the desert, thru mountains, across some really dry desert, to hill country, prairie, coastal plains and swamps and that's just in TEXAS! It also takes you thru some of Texas' largest cities, El Paso, San Antonio (3rd largest) and Houston (largest.) Granted you miss Dallas (2nd largest) and Austin (4th) but you still get the idea.

I believe it's not a joke, because i know that America is a large country. I've seen different movies, how people travel hours and hours, to reach their place, sometimes they take a plane. Also, i know some geography, but not so much. My country is little, you can reach the other border only for around 10 hours - maximum, but it still got amazing places with old and pretty nature, we got mountains, water falls, sea and everything we need to. But i'm worried about something here and it's that people are trying to do everything modern, because of the profit. Wild and pretty places are redone like something, where people, who are not bulgarians, can take a holiday and it's driving me crazy. We kill hundreds of years history, because of a business and profits. We had amazing beaches here, and now they made holiday complexes, hotels are all over there, coffee shops and restaurants, music to late evening. Like the rich people in our country are ready to kill everything only to earn some money. That makes me sad. But i still believe that i live in pretty country.

Hello again friend, i wish you to win the lottery. We live in hard times when we can't afford more of the things we want to do with our life. I hope that soon everything will be so cheap, that the money will disappear and everything will be free for using The nature is that that pretty, when people use it for profit, so it would be lovely if everything is free.

Well to get the most out of an experience, I would want to visit many more places that seem new and appealing to the eye. Such times only increase my curiosity, and lead me to explore what there is to living there. Travelling the whole world seems to be an impossible task, but if I had the ability to do it and it didn't take more than an year I would definitely take my chances at it. Photos and albums are good materials that help people track and share such events, but I personally think facebook would be better. The quality of life and easy organization of words on facebook would be a better tool for mapping experiences in all countries.
