Really, if the movie makes me cry, I cry without minding what people will say or think. Anyways, the movie theater is dark and I have my handkerchief at hand. What about you, do you cry at movies? It's just like the song as well entitled: Sad Movies, and it goes, sad movies, always make me cry....

Welcome to mylot
Why should one be ashamed? It comes out of some emotional scenes in movies, in which many, more so the women folk can't control the tears..
Here i have seen elder women throwing money, flowers to the movie screen in cinema halls, while seeing religious movies..
Thank you so much for this discussion.
Professor. . Cheers have a great day ahead.
God bless you. Welcome always.

Its been a long time since I cried. I can't remember exactly when the last time, maybe when I was young like in elementary but, I think I did when I was still struggling through college. Of course, it wasn't due to a movie that time. (^_^")
Anyway, I guess I am one of those who would feel awkward if somebody would find me shedding tears while watching a movie. However, I have this attitude when watching any kind of movie, be it action, drama, horror suspense and so on. I don't get carried away with all of the emotions that the movies would give. I would always be conscious that its a movie and I am just watching a movie, distancing myself as it seems.
Then again, I would sometimes catch myself almost beginning to cry while watching dramatic scenes on television, mostly those depicting real life situations. During those times, its as if I immediately try to stop myself from shedding any tears.

I am not also ashamed to cry when I watch a movie. I usually can not help it. My tears just flow especially if it is a sad movie.

Neither do I, but I feel foolish afterward for I will have a headache and stuffy nose due to crying because even if I finished watching it, as soon as a recall it I started to cry again. I remember when we watched Hachi: A Dog's Tale, I was crying until the next day.

You're not alone frenzylady. :) I do cry when watching movies especially those that touches my heart deeply and next thing I know, tears are running down my cheeks. The only thing that I haven't really ended up doing is sobbing or wailing out loud LOL. I've heard some people do that while watching a very serious drama film, I don't think I would do that though. Hopefully not LOL.
