We never feel satisfied with what we want and always want more... Lots of people fall down because of their greediness... I had seen many people experience this... For example, people who already have a good life but still not satisfied and want more... Then they gamble their money, hoping that they can win a big sum of money... At the end, they lost everything and end up with nothing because of their greediness... There are many other examples of human's greediness... Have you ever encountered somebody in your life that ruin his/her life because of his/her greediness??? Or even, do you consider yourself as a greedy person or self-satisfied??? Please share... Thanks in advance for responding... Take care and have a nice day everybody...

Its the greed because of which human's are the best species in this nature, so greed is good also if taken in good way.
About the incidents where people lost something due to excess greed: I am thebest example. In my childhood I have lost even money which wasn't even mine. You guessed it right I stole money and by which I used play lotteries. Well that lasted for about six months, but not before Ilost handsome money. Later on I was addicted to video games, that time I have started a liitle business and because of that addiction all my money was lost and I had to close my business.
But the good news is that I habe no such kind of addiction.

I think the ruin of man is caused not so much by greed but by selfishness. Come to think of it, it is selfishness that drives greed. From an evolutionary standpoint you may come to see it as self-preservation but really if it comes at the expense of so many other people (when our species is literally choking up the earth) then that's just plain selfishness. I think everyone has the selfish gene, which just gets more and more amplified with time as we grow up exposed to a world that values accumulating more (money, houses, cars, cellphones, you name it). The trick I think is to learn to turn it off and be more selfless.

I guess that's just part of being human. Not to be content with whatever it is we got. To strive for even more.
Unfortunately, we also apply this to money. And all the bad things associated with it. Including how we get it. Sometimes not by earning it, but chancing it to luck. Or worse, illegal means.

Hi there. What you're saying is true. But it's what we humans are. It's sad that no matter how one will try to control himself he can't control others. Greed will always be there that results to many catastrophe.
I can't give a major example of this but there's someone I know who gambled and won a descent amount. But then he wanted more and gambled all his winnings. In the end He losses everything including his own money. Well it's just like your example but it's true. Good luck to you.

It's true and I think everyone somewhat experiences this.. When you have everything you just don't know what to do with yourself.. You need to have some kind of goal, so you just look for more things that you want to have.

Greediness, covetousness and any kind of too much love for money would lead to self destruction in the long run. Look at Judas Iscariote who betrayed the Lord just for 30 pieces of silver. He ended up hanging himself on the tree.
Oh well love of money is the root of all evil and I am glad I am in a circle of friends who do not put money on top of their lives. But I do know so many people who are so greedy and most of them are those who are already rich. They could not be satisfied with what they have. The richer they get the greedier they become.

Its way to easy to waste your life due to greediness, and only through lessons can such people make themselves better at budgeting money. Certain people won't even spend a single penny for restaurant tips or toys for their kids, but leave this world with thousands of dollars locked in their bank account. They are way to occupied on thinking about money, and for lack of sincerity and understanding, they take wrong choices. Too many of this people exist in the world, and every one of you members reading this post should have neighbors that are afflicted with greed. To a severe extent, greed can jeopardize such people and there families, leaving there respect and standard of living go down into ruins. There is one thing people in this condition should do, they should twink twice about the benefits spending or saving money will make, and then decide if the benefits are greater than costs.
