Here is a picture of a flag that my son saw in a place he was getting his car fixed in. The owner is his girlfriend's brother. He wondered about it and neither he nor I have ever seen anything like it. Please look at the picture and tell me if you know which country/cause it belongs to.
I'm always curious about flags, there are so many beautiful ones, some are dignified and stately while others have a message or represent some aspect of their country.

I thought it might be Palestine, or Jordan. One other possibility is Western Sahara. I also thought it looked like the Dome of the Rock. I looked at the flag index at this link http://www.flags.net/indexz.htm

ra1787, we all know that 99% of Muslim people are good. It's the radicals we have to worry about. Just like our Christian Fundamentalists that blow up abortion clinics along with innocent people, we know that most Christians are good people. It's the same with Islamists or any other religion. The radicals tend to define the religion but it should not be so.

to be honest with you, i'm not really good with flags at all... but by looking at the flag, i agree that it is sort of Palestine or Israel flag... the pattern on the flag give some indications that it belongs to one of the middle east country... but i'm not so sure which country it is... will be very interested to know from other mylotters which country the flag belongs to... take care and have a nice day...

Thanks! It has been suggested it is from Palestine but no one seems to know why the Dome of the Rock is on it nor what the writing says.

Based on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Palestinian_flag. i believe this is Palestinian flag and i guess the word say " please save the Al-Ansar mosque" based on the mosque picture. As i know the Al-Ansar mosque is being taken by Israel right now. Their population and country become small right now, their existing is been erased. i feel pity to their fate.

I think it might be representative of some sort of cause but I'm sure that it's based on the Palestinian flag, as some have suggested.

Hiya dragon,
I have no idea which Country this Flag belongs to. Have to be honest I would just be guessing really in fact I would be.
Have never seen it before either so I can´t even begin to imagine at all.
It is not a Spanish Flag anyway I can tell you that as I know most of the Flags here and there are not many of them.
Perhaps it´s not European though I can´t think of any Country near to Spain with that design.

It turns out it is a flag of Pakistan. The person who has it displayed altered it. And the person lives in the U.S. but doesn't like the country much. I told my son to stay away from that person but he says he wants to keep an eye on him and will stop by occasionally. It's probably harmless.

Hiya dragon,
Oh Pakistan? I knew it could not be a European one for sure at least not from around here or Portugal or France either. I was not so sure about Italy for a minute then I thought it can´t be because their Flags are similar to ours in a way.
That is interesting anyway. I did think of maybe Turkey too but then I remembered what their Flag looked like. Oh well thanks for telling me interesting that. Have a great Weekend and Christmas. xxx Hope you are okay now?

it's most probably a Palestinian flag ,by the looks of it,but it's been customized most probably by Muslim Palestinians to show that the country originally stands for Muslims and that the Israeli's should stop their transgression over them.
I've just searched it and yeah it's the Palestine flag for sure but the mosque and the writing have been added.

Thank you! Someone else said it might be a plea to save the mosque on the flag. It's awful to think that anyone's mosque, church or temple would be destroyed.

I am anxious to see the flag. I used to play a computer game that matched flags. They often have a story. I have not viewed the flag yet, as I went straight to response from my e mail.

The colors are that of the flag of Palestine. The image on it is the Dome of the Rock which is an Islamic holy site. I don't know what the words are but I assume it's Arabic. I am thinking it's somewhat of a novelty flag or maybe made for demonstration because the flag without the image and words is the national flag of Palestine.

Thanks! I'd really like to know what the writing says because the man who is displaying the flag is very anti-American.

Except for the mosque and the writing under it, it looks like the flag of Sudan. Someone probably adopted the colors and put their own take of it. Is that allowed? In my country, that is illegal.

It's good that your country honors your flag. Here, it legal to burn our flag and mistreat it but a boy was made to remove our flag from his bicycle because it might offend illegal immigrants from Mexico. In other words, you can legally destroy our flag but you are limited as to where and when you can display it. My country is going insane.

I'm not sure it's being used for that. The man is an Mexican immigrant with a green card so he can work here but he believes the U.S. should give the Southwest states to Mexico.
