Sometimes just walking around the city, makes you realized how hard life is...
You got to see unwanted things, things that opens our eyes to reality and somehow makes us feel thankful and so much grateful that we are lucky indeed than those people living in the streets.
Sometimes my heart melts seeing those street children, i feel pity for them and so much shame and disgustment to their parents for letting their children sleep, eat and make a living in the streets by asking money to other people.
I donate coins to some street children if i feel too, but to those other children thats so naughty following around i just ask them if where are their parents, they should ask money to their parents not to me...
and i also hate those big bodied man siting just around the corner and asking money.. so obvious that they are strong enough to have a job, but they are so lazy.
But i definitely give money to old street people, because i always remember my grand parents when i saw old people, and i dont want the feeling or the thoughts that my parents would also suffer what those old street people are feeling... my heart melts everytime i see old street people.

sometimes i do... that really depends on the situation and the person who is asking me for the money... if i see that the person really needs the money, then i will definitely give... what i mean is, if the person is old and disabled, i will give money to him/her... but if the person is young and able-bodied, i won't give money because he/she is still able to work to earn money and i don't want to encourage him/her to be lazy... take care and have a nice day...

On my way to work every morning, I would see two disabled young people selling tissue papers to people. They are seated on the floor, as one of them can't really move that well and the other is blind.
The tissue paper cost much less if you buy elsewhere, but sometimes I would donate a dollar coin to them, but refuse to accept the packets of tissue paper they were handing out. It's really sad! But they are making more effort than simply begging for money.

Never donate money to at the street or public area.
Those beggars are mostly monitored by an illegal organization.
If you donate money to them, you are prolong this bad culture.
Later, you can read more news about missing children?
Where have these children gone?
oh! they were probably handicapped and sent to oversea to beg money at the street.
In Malaysia, begging is not allow here.
We have a charity department specially to assist and handle those are homeless and helpless group of people.

I don't normally give this kids. The way I see it they are not supposed to be given because most of this are begging just use it in things that are bad such as gambling, etc. I'd rather give donation to church or any government institution where these children are suppose to be. I normally give an aid to those who are defective rather than those who have the capacity to live normally and earn their own money.

There is a lady in Toronto Canada who has begged on a street corner for years. She is chauffeur driven to work each morning, and her chauffeur comes to pick her up in her Cadillac at night. Would you throw coins in her box as you were passing by? Many beggars are better off than the donors! Why would these beggars want to work when they can earn a good income standing on a Street corner. They do not pay income-tax on their donations, either. My Heart Hardens each time I see Street People!

There are people at the street corners, so weak and suffering, freezing in the cold weather. Some are really elderly , and even unable to stand up by themselves. Yes, when I see those people, I would give coins, and I could see on their face how happy that made them. Best wishes to them !

I don't. Know why? Scammers. They ruined it for those that really need it and now, you don't know if the person really needs it or is just putting ona show to get money. Few years back here in California...it was a huge scandal where people would stand on street corners and off ramps of the freeways holding signs saying "will work for food". It started out honestly, but then it was discovered a scam. They'd have their children sitting there in the heat or cold for sympathy, they'd have an old person sitting there or the old person doing the pandering..they'd have crutches there...all the visable things that invoke sympathy and as people would stop at the red light....these panhandlers would walk a couple cars length and people would hand them dollars. No one would give food, just cash. It got to be so bad that you coudnl't even stop at a red light without being all but bombarded with panhandlers... and then it was exposed that most of these "poor needy people" were living in the lap of luxury...walking to their BMW's parked in the shopping center block or so away after a days worth of "will work for food". Just think...as low as a total of $5 bucks per light for 8 hours a day? Lotta loot!
That was stopped and now they sit out front of stores like Target and the grocery stores...with a locked box and a little table and chair saying they are collecting for this or that charity. I can't belive them as I don't know if there really is a charity or not and even if there is...is this money going there or to this person's pocket?
So unfortunately lazy dishonest ones ruined it for the ones that need it...as usual. So I give to my church so that I know exactly that it is going to those that need it.

It depends. In a third world country, you just see them every day that you would run out of money just giving coins to them all. On the occasion, whenever I feel like it, I would take out some money. But that is more of because I was feeling generous or sympathetic at the time, and not particularly because I have a natural inclination of doing so. Usually I give them to street kids, little boys and girls who don't have enough money for dinner.

I help also as much as I can. It saddens me. There are many people in my town out of jobs and unable to buy presents for their families for Christmas. At my husbands job they help out families in need. One litte boy wrote a Christmas list that he wanted socks and underwear for Christmas. How sad is that? Not a toy..but socks and underwear. His co-workers all chipped in and bought gifts so he got his socks, and underwear of course but my husband bought him a football, and a few other toys. It made me cry when he told me about it. I have been donating toys, clothes, and canned foods for families. I have 2 kids so we have been clearing out their closests of clothing, and toys they have grown out of.

Hi,
Maybe my opinion would be different form others, but every individual will have an opinion and I think it counts. I generally give coins /money to street side people or who ask for money. I really don't preach them to get a job or work and make your day.It is really good if he changes his attitude I would be the first happiest person. But hardly it happens.
What is that I can give them I will with out any thought and I don't discuss about them with my co passenger or my friend or colleague. Hardly what we give them is not even 1% of of what we get. So no reasoning and brain storming.
Happy Mylotting,

It sad how people that do a dance get more money than people who do nothing. Maybe they should do a dance and they'd gt more money from people who are looking for entertainment not people who feel sorry for them and their are scammers. Your a nice person but don't feel you have to give.

Hi,
I never saw any beggars along the street in my husband's town.
Only when I went back to my hometown, then I would see those
scenarios again.
Sometimes at the traffic light, I will saw either small kid or lady or
man(not sure whether they are handicapped or not),but they look
so pity and ask for money. My hearts feel sad seeing them and I will
gave some pennies to them. Of course, I do hope they are cheating
people by doing it.Because some are fate beggars.they are in good
condition, but maybe lazy to find a job and become a beggar can easily
give them money to survive.

When i was a child ,i wanted to give some coins to the street beggars. But my family barely made a living .Moreover,i didn't have any poket money .So i could do nothing to help them .Nowadays i have spare money to give a hand to those who live on others.Still,i don't give the street beggars any money because i know that most of them are fake beggars .If i satisfy them ,they will just save my money and ask for more .Many TV programs have revealed their scam .I don't wanna waste my money and sympathy.

yeah,it's so sad to meet such kind of people,no matter kids ,old people the youth etc.but as we all know they are not the real poor people!they are like the workers go to the corner every day to ask for money!maybe it reflects the failure of the rules of goverment!
