Are you a hard headed person???

I am not the kind of person who is hard-headed though I have my own viewpoints in dealing with some things and people, but I also like to listen to my friends' advice and would follow them if the advice sounds reasonable. Such is me. Thank you for your nice discussion, lingli.

Hi lingli_! And know that you are definitely not alone! I am extremely stubborn or "hard headed" and have made so many mistakes throughout my life because I wanted to do things "my way"! And you would think that I would have learned each time, but nope! It is something that does run in the "family" though! My whole family is very stubborn and once they have made up their minds about something there is no changing it. This is not always a great quality as I have found out through the years!

There are times, I think no matter what the situation that people can admit they might have been a little hard headed a time or two. Yes, many times this can lead to wrong choices and decisions we have to learn to live with, and work thru, so in reality it is best to learn to be a little more open unless it is something you strongly believe in, and then seek out answers from those who will work with you.

I am a hard headed person and could not be taken for a ride easily. My word is my rule and usually it is difficult to bend once I've decided on something. It often create a lot of argument later in life. Mom said I was born on a full moon so that is why I am a little odd.

I'm damn hard headed --- however i would let others to guide me but what matters to me the most is "What seems to be right" and at the same time i do not wish to bug others to accept me the way i'm.As of stumbling,failures are the stepping stones for success...i have learnt my way over coz i have been relying on my own decisions for years now.So i can sort out the stuff easily...when confused there are people around who guide me with the pros and cons and "decision making" would be mine.When i say something i would achieve it by all means...coz i would for those things which i love the most.great day.

Well a lot of the time, when I am convinced I'm right then I am. Unless I am proven that I'm wrong but it does sometimes take a bit of time to get me to admit that. I think we are all like that to this extent. It really does depend on the person how often. Still there are regrets of things that I wish I had done, or had not done. If only I had been a bit less stubborn.

I am too like you too much stubborn and nothing could stop me what i like. This is me since i was a child and I remember my father told me that there is nothing good to be in the future to those who are hard headed. He always told me that it is better to listen to parents advice than to follow my own desire. And what he advice makes a good result. So this is I always say to my children and advice them also to do right thing by following parents advice. There is no better result to every stubborn man. Have a nice day!

No , not really. I am very emotional at times but my mother told me many years ago that I was becoming rigid and the only way to survive was to be flexible. So I am aways ready to see another point of view and to try and understand something. Yes it is a hard lesson to learn but we have to do it for personal growth. Many blessings

I don't know if I am hard headed but if I decide on a certain route..well...no matter what...thats where I am going. I have learned some hard lessons that way but I learned them on my own. I have never been a "follower" and although that is a good thing...it's got it's downside too. I always listen to the opinions of others but in the end I always make the choice that I think is right.

I too am extremely stubborn! I like doing things my way. Sometimes I even do it even if I already know that it is a mistake just to spite people. It isn't easy, specially when I already dealing with the consequences. But that is just the way I am.

I think I am also a stubborn person who do not change my mind after listening the advice from the others, especially my mum. Maybe because my mum always think and point out the fact that I am uncapable. Therefore, I would like to prove to her that I am capable. Sometimes I can prove it but not all the time. When I realise I have made a mistake after not hearing her advice, I do not regret about not hearing her advice because I have tried my best to achieve what I want and cannot blame the others for not allowing me to do so. Of course, I will listen to the others' advice first before making any decision as their points of view might be applicable sometimes but I will not regret about my decision because it is base on my will after a lot of considerations from different angles.

I am a super hard headed person and my boyfriend hates it. It has to go my way or I get mad and then I sometimes regret some of my mistakes I make. I am trying to be less hard headed though.

hard headed, mmmmmmm i would class it more as being confident in myself - Yes ive made many mistakes, but live with my mistake and move on until the next time - regrets none.

Many people are like you including me also........ you must take advice from your close friends or relatives or any other matured person before doing any task so you get an idea before doing things... any way GOOD LUCK for your future

Add my name also to your list. I am also a very hard headed guy. I don't know why but in my head it is written is that whatever I do is right and others are wrong everytime. I have paid heavy price to this kind of attitude. I am not doing a good job or I could not have a right girl with me are one of those results....

I'm a stubborn person and nobody can convince me otherwise once I've made up my mind. What's good about me though is that before making any decisions or getting myself into something, I see to it that it's something that I would never regret because I hate people telling me, "I told you so!" My stubbornness has not led me in big troubles so far and I don't feel like changing at all. Now that's part of my stubbornness too, not changing who I am!
