How sound of a sleeper are you?

With some people, every little noise tends to wake them up. With others, all out warfare can go on around them and they will still be sleeping. I tend to be somewhere in the middle. How about you? Looking forward to reading your responses and thanks.

i'm a very light sleeper, Unless i'm sick, every little outside noise could wake me up, and pretty much every nose has succeeded in doing just that. I'm at the point where I'm surprised If I don't wake up at least twice in the middle of the night.

My issue actually lies with falling asleep, It takes me at least 3-4 hours to fall asleep most nights, Its awfull and even when Im so tired I just cant seem to sleep. Once I do fall asleep it really depends on the day as sometimes I can sleep so soundly that nothing will wake me at all and then others I will be up and down all night checking out noises etc. However I find that most days I dont feel rested which is awfull but nothing much I can do about that, My husband on the other hand sleeps like a log! As soon as his head hits the pillow he is gone and a bomb falling on the house would not wake him haha! Do you sleep well??

Getting to sleep can be the hardest thing for many people. When they are there, then they remain there. I think there are times where I am like that. Most of the time I'm out when I hit the pillow but often it does take a bit of time. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I'm told I slept through the fire alarm once. Oops. That's not good. It was a false alarm, but still. I'm a pretty sound sleeper most of the time. I've slept through my alarm clock way too often, and of course the fire alarm incident. There are some times though when the tiniest noises wake me up... so I don't think I'm very consistent.

I'm just worried I'll sleep through a real alarm and get crispy fried. My family has promised not to let that happen... but you know how it is with disasters. You never know what it's going to be like or what's going to go wrong. Maybe I can train myself to become a lighter sleeper...

Yeah sleeping through a fire alarm can just prove that there is just too much of a sound sleeper. It was a good thing it was a false alarm. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I sleep like a rock through any sound I recognize. People can talk loud to me, knock on the door, pounding on the door, anything. But I wake when a baby whimpers, or any unusual sound. My husband on the other hand can wake from the slightest sound. This scenario can be a challenge at times. In the beginning my husband said, "No one can sleep that soundly unless they're loaded". He's found that not to be the case after 27 years, times 365 nights! :-))

That is an interesting point. Even when awake, we will not bat an eye at sounds we recognize and are used to. However, hearing a sound that is unfamiliar and we bolt up just like that. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

Yeah I could sleep through some pretty big things when I was a child. Storms and the like. My parents used to say that a tornado could rip through the house and I would remain asleep. And I believe it. As an adult it tends to be touch and go. Many good nights, but there are some nights where I don't sleep as soundly. Something on my mind. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

It depends on how sleepy I am. There are times when really very little noise wakes me up and its difficult for me to go back to sleep. I dont like that kind of sleeping and it usually happens if I have many things in my mind.

Yeah I am like that to. Got to go to bed early so I can get up early. I like getting to work before the day is too long. Gives me plenty of time. The morning is relaxing and I can get plenty of done if I sleep soundly at night. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

I ind it sometimes hard to sleep- I'm a bit of an insomniac... But when I do sleep, it's really hard to wake me up, even if there is a "warfare" I'd still be sound asleep. After or hours, that's when I wake up..

Very very sound. The alarm clock can be ringing beside me for the longest of time and yet I won't be able to hear it. Of course there are days whereby I cannot sleep so soundly and the slightest of sound will wake me up.

Hmmm.. True it is the case for many of people. Even a sound of pin drop break their sleep while for many of other a sound like fishy market is not enough to break their sleep. But both the conditions are good for different situations like the weak sleep make you much aware about surrounding but it not good when u are not able to enough sleep. While in other case a good sleep make u much relaxed but sometimes it may be dangerous for the condition as some mishappening may be happened around us or may be with us. SO guys wat do u think abt this...
