Are you the person who has uttered not one single lie?

Ha if someone, anyone, even a priest were to answer yes to this question, that would be a lie. It's human nature to lie. I think that lies can be useful and contribute to the greater good, though obviously a lot of lies just cause trouble too. Free will is awesome.

I would be naïve to think that I have never lied. Or at the very least, told a somewhat selective version of the truth. At one time or another, we tend to lie, even if we believe it is the truth. It is amazing how selective the human mind can be with what they can remember throughout their entire life. Therefore we really remember things in our life, but it might be a slightly biased version. Therefore, technically speaking, we would be lying. I think I always aim to tell the truth. However, there is something to be said about something in theory and then actually doing something in practice. Things to tend to be rather good in theory but in the end, exactly how good they are in practice, it is going to be something that leads to something else. So there have been times where I may have lied, despite my better efforts. Let's face it, there are times where the truth does hurt and it is hard to tell it, because we don't want to upset the people around us.

even though i don't like to lie, but in my life i had uttered a few lies... but when i lie, it is usually for the sake of the other person that i lie to... as far as i can, i prefer not to lie and always tell the truth because honesty is always the best policy... i also prefer to hear the truth rather than a lie from other people even though the truth might hurts... take care and have a nice day...

I have lied. I'm skeptical when anyone says they've never lied before. I believe lying is too easy (and I say this as someone who considers myself a bad liar) for us fallible humans to avoid for every second of our entire lives. As for whether I'd want someone to always tell me the truth, no. For the big things, yes. The important stuff. Usually, lies like that, even when done to protect or shield someone end up backfiring. But, honestly, I'm not sure I'd want the truth for every little thing. Even though it is bad to lie, I'm not really interested in hearing someone's honest opinion about my personal taste or something like that. Or, if I give someone a gift, I don't need them to be perfectly honest if they hate it.

People find it real hard to believe the truth ... very much like the case of your best friend! I have many such experiences where "me revealing stuff" on my friends face has caused some problems and we no longer talk to each other! no regrets though ... its good to have a single friend who understands you than to have a bunch of mates who intend to find happiness amongst sweet words!great day.

marapplestiffy, there is nothing in this world, which may appear to us as it really is. A sphere may appear as a circle and cube may appear to us as square at certain angle. The sky appears as an umbrella and sun appears as a ball of fire, though they aren't the way they appear to us. Therefore, we can never be sure that we are viewing the things in their true perspective. Cheating is one such realm where one never believes that such a thing is happening to him or her unless they see the naked truth with their own eyes. Chances are that they would never see it. If I happen to see it I would rather keep it to myself and the truth be revealed to the person eventually.

No, I do tell lies sometimes. You never know what I'm saying right now may be a lie.

i also don't like to tell lies. but if sometimes telling the truth can create a big problem. so if needed, i'll just keep quite for safety purpose. so neither i'll tell lie or tell the truth. but sometimes white lies also can save life. hehehe

For me, there would be no one whom i could consider as any person who have never had a even a single bit of a lie because with a lot of temptations going on in this world who would ever escape the wrath of Satan.

I rarely say the lie. Because I think it not good for me and for my partner too. I always like to say the truth. I tell lie very badly. I can't tell lie when my partners look at my eyes. But I don't think telling lie is always bad. Because , in some case, well tell lie is better than tell the truth.

Hello marapplestiffy, It is really nice to be honest to yourself but you must considered things so that you will not fall in the trouble. You must be carefully saying the truth that can really affect so much with others. In your situation i agree with you that you need to tell the truth because of that you realize the your best friend are not really trusted you that why it is really good if you be honest to yourself. Unfortunately, my answer is no. I do it more to protect myself and to keep people from asking too many questions or to get them to stop. I'm tired of telemarketers calling and I think of the first thing that comes to mind to get rid of them, solicitors included.

I tell everything like it is even if it costs me everything . I can't bear my self with my lies even little ones . Specialy if i lie to my dear people . well even if i try i'm a bad lier :D
