Do you think you have to make a list of goals on what you desire to do in life or what goals you want to obtain or should you just do it. Most people make a list like 1 thru 10 on what their goals are but are they really going to go in that order? Do you think you even have to write things like that down or just know in your mind what you have you heart set on and just do it?

I write the goals that i want to achieve each year so i can be guided by what my plans are and to which month i wanted to achieve it. But sad thing here is that no matter how hard i try to achieve those plans i still can't make it. Sometimes i even forget what i wrote and try to freshen my mind up by checking the list again. By the end of the year out of 10 goals, i only end up achieving 2 0r 3 goals. At least i achieve something than really nothing at all. So i guess i will stop writing it down next year and just do whatever it is that comes out of my mind and when opportunity comes i will grab it right away. And of course i will ask guidance to God to help me achieve something.

Yea Thats true I was told we should never follow our own plans and seek God first and thats probably why I dont achieve many of my goals because I rely on my self I guess when I should rely on God.

It seems that, as I grow older, Goals are short termed ones and there´s no need to write them down. Even with small things, like what I will do at present, there´s always changes from my expectations. Most of the times it gets better. Twists are really awesome for me. Even a visit from someone means adventure in my routine. I tend to made small goal now. This Spring I decided I´d start a veggie garden. The line of thought was: I´m at the computer too much-need some excersise and slimming-how about starting a veggie garden. My garden will not be a complete success this year but I have learned a lot for next. AND I´m planing of making a snail farm, get the beasts that have eaten part of my veggies, fatten them and make a good risotto. As you see from my answer, everything s is my head. No need for lists. Take care!

I would honestly write my goals into paper! Even if it is set in my mind and in my heart, it would be helpful that I see it more often to inspire me to really do it! I say, that it is very effective to me! Last year, I wrote things I would do and accomplish this year, and I can say that I did half of it and quite happy with what I have done!

Hi nicole, Having goals in life makes life meaningful. One should have goals in life to achieve the desired results and the way he/she wanted to live. Now while setting your goals you have to consider the following. Goal setting 1. Your goal must be realistic 2. Your goal must be time bound 3. You should have sub goals leading to your goal. 4. You should know the ways to achieve your goal. 5. You should analyze your strengths and weakness before setting up your goal. explanation Your goals need to be realistic and achievable, Setting up high goals without knowing the our strengths and weakness would lead to unachievable goals. Goals should be time bound that means within a time frame you should reach goal 1,next goal2 in that way it should follow. You should list out your goals the smallest the first and the largest should be the final one. In other words your 1st goal should facilitate you in reaching your second one and finally all these should lead to your final goal.Knowing your strength and weakness converting your weakness into strength is most important, finally you should know and learn the ways to achieve your goals. Hope my answer adds value to your discussion. Thank You Calpro

I write my goals when I am very much inspired by someone's talk. Suppose someone say that it is important to set your goals then I get easily inspired and I write down my goals. I don't know how my mind work, after sometimes I don't care about these goals because I have a new goal everyday, but once I write down the things I remember them in a corner of my mind. Last year I had a goal to buy a motor cycle, so I did. I had a goal to make a very good muscular physique, but I think this goal is not completed yet. It feels good to have some goals.

I'm a goal setter, and yes you just have to set your heart on your goals, but for me it helps that I could read them after a week or month for I might forget why I made that particular goal and lose my motivation, I always write down the reason for having a particular goal under that goal I've set...I usually have only five realistic goals that I know I can accomplish and five that I think would have to be aided by the powers greater than me. But like everything else in this world nothing has the same effect on two people, this works perfectly fine with me, but some might have other strategies that works for them too
