Since yesterday i'm thinking about how i don't have life. I posted another discussion about that. But now the new topic will help me to realize what i can without money and how can i help myself to feel better, because of my missing life. At home, we can do a lot of things. But for me it looks like i'm locked in a cave. You know, this old words "my home - this is me". If i accept my home as my own personality, it means that i'm locked in myself. I want to change that, so i thought today to make little list with things i can do without money.
1. I love drinking coffee, so i decided to go out with a cup of coffee and to drink it in the park, which is close to our building.
2. Walks. I would like to share walks with a dog, but for now i can't take one, because i live in a rented apartment, so i decided to go and shop in stores, which are far from our building. This is how i'll have 1 hour walk a day and may be will find much more interesting stuff for buying.
3. Picnic, this is what i really love, because nature refills me. I can make sandwiches at home or some kind of dish, which is easy for preparing and eating out of home. We usually cook at home, so no extra expenses around it.
If you have some other ideas, they will be greatly appreciated by me. Just share.

Friend, life may be not a bed of roses ,but it can be as sweet as sugar !
when i am in a bad mood or sometimes when it seems that i can't even bear the pressures of life,i just tell myself what i need is a simple life .you know it's so easy to find what really interests you in everyday life ,you take it at will .and you know free will can bring you free fun ,if so,you can feel so easy and happy ,i think so .
in my eyes ,it's no need to find more ways for fun withou money .so many ideas about fun is always on your own mind ,but it's yourself the only one who know which way is more suitable for you ,you can see many people are making fun in their own ways in the streets or somewhere else .that's someone else's way to enjoy oneself ,not yours and not fit for you perhaps .
besides, what's your true concern ?to find it out .it's still so easy .some person or even singe bit and piece of life can fill the role .
even one pleasure for one day ,it's a nice day.and you won't feel you are locked in a cave .
we inevitably meet with setbacks and frustrations in real life ,which bring us unhappiness ,so we have to find out the fun in life by ourselves .
suggar ,happy everyday !

Thanks for responding Mr. Poker.
I was looking for ways to go out of home, because i'm all the time here. Reading book, watching movies, drinking coffee, chat with friends - i'm doing that many months now and it's kind of boring for me at this moment.
May be now is the last sun we can see in some countries, like mine. Here is still cold weather, but with sun, without rain and snow, so i got really good time outside of home.
Happy day to you my friend

Lol, Xansus, i can say that you are moving pretty good in MyLot.
I'm proud with you, because you grow up really fast here
That's first and then ... cooking is something pretty good as a hobby, but you said it alone, it's still at home. I want more fun outside of home. My friends are far from here. So i feel really alone in one big city, but i'll work on it. Thanks

I like the activities you enumerated. It makes me happy and light inside doing those things too. As much as I love and as much as I have fun shopping or having a night out with friends, those things could really be stressful too. Like when I go home not being able to buy anything I need despite the number of hours spent, or realizing I spent too much on a drink... With drinking coffee in the park or taking a walk, however, I cannot recall having any stress afterwards.
You have a nice outlook in life

Hello friend,
i love the nature. Just staying close to the sea makes me feel good. The noise of the water, the smell of it, it's so great. Even if i lived so close near the sea, i never loved to go to swim or something like that. Beaches here are full in the summer, but in the spring and in the autumn, or even the winter, it's so great.
Actually where i live now, we have sea, i'm in a sea city, but the sea is too far from our home, this is why i don't visit it so often. I don't know the buses here where they can bring me or which one to take. If i have to walk to there, it will be a long way and i don't know when i'll be back home after so far walk.

Hi dear,
I am very happy to have you started thinking openly and this is the result of your independent thinking. May be it is small or it will not may major difference, but to have a different way of approach will make you more refreshed.
Also, when you talked about earlier, I didn’t think of you that you are so isolated. But be try to mingle with more people and entertain in more activities with whom you like much and try to get more good people around. Everyone’s life style and surroundings are totally different. So, as per you situation, you can move forward. It will make you happier and never feel you are alone and separated.
We all are around and a good people chain make you better energized. Also, in future you can do more and better things. Keep moving. All the best and good luck.
Regards,
Thank-s

Thank you for your response friend, i'm trying every day to do something new. When this year - 2010 started i decided for myself that it will be the way my year will go - with something new and interesting every day. But the plans crashed really fast.
I hope that to be a new start.

On this if you look at things then money is always there as, you have to buy the water, milk, sugar, coffee, to have a cup of coffee and so that costs money. For the dog you have to buy dog food so he/she stays alive so that costs money, and for the picnic, well... you need food and drink and so again this costs money. No matter what we can never escape away from money. But, it is good to prepare things at home like a picnic that is cheap and enjoyable to do, it doesn't cost you while you are out as you have prepared everything. It is great to be out in the fresh air and to execise both yourself and your dog, money really does make a difference but the more we do at home the less we spend when out.

You are right, we never escape the money problem, this is why i said ... things i would do outside, without spending money at the same time.
Coffee made at home, because we make coffee for ourselves and anyway .. we spend this money, but we have the chance to drink our coffee at home, or to make it in the park, where at the same time we will have nature and other people around us.
Picnic costs money too, but not extra money, which you will have to pay at the restaurant, because someone else will cook the dish. You may cook it by yourself so i don't see any difference between eating at home and eating near the nature if we have to talk about money. The one difference is that we will change the place we are eating and may be outside we will feel better, because every day we eat at home, but not every day we make picnics.

I would love to have more picnics, it really is nice to get out in the fresh air and to do something different. I try to get to the park as often as i can with my son and we have so much fun, sometimes we also have a picnic. I think the only problem we have here though is the weather, it is either so very very cold or it is raining, that is a shame as weather can alter our plans and can spoil good times like going to the park and having picnics.

i am happy that you are willing to open your mind now and think outside the box... we can always have fun outside without having to spend money... this is what i had done most of the times especially in the recession times like this... other things that i usually do on top of what you have mentioned is going to the library and window shopping... these are fun to do and do not require money as well... take care and have a nice day...

We try to get together with our friends and close family as much as possible and do things. Since none of us has much money, we do things that do not cost anything or very little. Sometimes we have "movie nights" where someone brings over a movie that they own that the others haven't seen or want to watch again, and we make popcorn and Kool-aide and watch movies. Other times, we get together and play games - board games, video games, and even outdoor sports games. I like the outdoor sports games the best, because we get exercise while having fun and not spending a cent, but the other games are fun as well.

I usually ride my bike around the city when weather is good. My city has a bike lane that goes around our little place. I ride to parks and take pictures with my digital camera or camera phone. Sometimes, I stroll beside our river and watch the fishes frolic. Just the other day, I took pictures of birds dive bombing for food. Sometimes I would take my niece and nephew to the park and we play with their RC and race them there. The kids love it and I am their favorite aunt because of this. We also play badminton in the city sports park although we pay a minimal fee for it. We also have some free museums in our place which I check out every now and then. Or sometimes I just sit on our terrace at night and count the stars. There are a lot of free fun things to do, and all you need is your spirit of fun and vivid imagination.

I love to use my balcony for smoking. It's pretty good, specially when it rains. This is my favorite weather, and now is my favorite season. It's not hot, it's not cold, the temperatures are normal and I can go out really often.
I wanted bike, but i'm not sure there is a place, where i can ride it. We have to streets in our country, where people with bikes can drive calm. We have parks, this is a good place, but our parks are not big, like little labyrinth.
Thanks for sharing friend, so much new ideas.

I responded to that other discussion of yours, and I just read your comment. It is nice to know that you're a positive person. And it is great to see that you even put in some good examples here.
For me, my escape is the movies. Although they will cost something to rent the movie, it does provide a lot of fun or 'escape' for the people in the house.

Hello Suggar,
Its good that you make lists of things to do that you enjoy and dont cost anything. I think we're all in the same boat lately.
You said you'd like to go for a walk with a dog......why not try to find people who have dogs and cant take them out for a walk......so you could have fun and make a bit of money at the same time.
I like to curl up with a good book and since I can buy used books for 25 cents, my sister and I share books that way and it doesnt cost much.
Hope this helps!!
Have a nice day.

It really helps, thank you.
I'll try to find friends with dogs. For now i have one person, who know, but i'm little strange person, who is more closed and don't like to be friend with whoever it is. There must be magic in one friendship, when you know the person, when you respect him, when the same person knows you and respect you. This is how you can talk for everything with that kind of person. These friends for me are precious and i'll try to find some. Thanks for sharing.

Can't see why you wouldn't be a successful speaker. Your writing clearly makes you eligible to influence other people and to hold joint discussions. There are so many things you can experience when hanging out with friends. I suggest that finding and hanging out with friends will improve your well being. It isn't going to be a dreadful lifestyle if you are able to share company with others.
Like you said, I also suggest that you should buy a dog. In the case you can't introduce him to your apartment, you should at least invest and save up money for your eventual home purchase. Knowing that the real estate prices are down in the U.S., it would be a great time to bag a deal.

Hello friend, i'm pretty opened for talking, not only in internet. But the way i lived many months made me kind of closed. No friends, no people, who are close to me. Only my neighbors for hello and the friends of my boyfriend, who come often at home, but they are still his friends, not mine.
Im trying to keep myself away of insolence. This is why i don't like to bother people who i don't know. If they make the first step it will be great. In other case i would just talk with them for short and will be back home soon.
I want a house. But here it's still too expensive. I don't know the prices of the houses, but i know that apartments cost around 100 000$, which is not little.
For now i'm still working for the usual and daily or monthly expenses.
