Woke up yesterday was sore all over. Just seemed like every spot on my body was sore like I had been really working out....LOL I do a lot of work but hardly ever work out. I mean I work out by doing the work we do. But as far as doing jumping jacks or something like that I don't have the time or engry to do that. Anyway I am still sore this moring and can't figure out why I would be this sore. Do you ever wake up feeling sore all over? Do you think it is because I am getting older?

Muscles work better when they are warm. It also suggests that what I said in my comment that your muscles had time to cool down and you have strained a few muscles. I had one muscle pulled in my back and that throws the whole neck back and legs out of sync because they are all related to each other. Another person suggested a massage can help and I agree with that person that suggested that. I also know if you had a previous injury and when it gets cold it can ache also.

It's colder here now and my motivation to do stuff has disappeared. I would be warmer too, if I decided to get up off my fat a*se to do something lol. My Mum also hates the winter. She still does the same amount of work in a day but - like yourself, she now has to contend with aches and pains associated with our naff climate.
My cat's got the right idea..led in a ball underneath the radiator. Oh, how I wish I was a cat sometimes!

Hello,
I dont know how old you are but my dad is 84 yrs old and he says he doesnt have any pain when he gets up in the morning.
I think you need a new mattress!! We spend anywhere from 6 to 8 hrs in our beds and we forget about the mattress. So maybe its something you need to look into?
Good Luck!!

Hi MagicalBubbles. I am 58 years old. I did a lot of foolish things when I was young that is why I have these aches and pains. We just got a new mattress. But when I sleep I wake up in a ball and that could have something to do with it. But I know when it gets colder I get these aches and pains. Thank God that your dad still don't have any of these aches and pains at his age I am surprised. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Freeman. Well you're not that old you know!!!
Maybe its your new mattress then if you wake up in a ball or you're just ......cold? Maybe sleep with some jammies on and woollies will help.
Im really happy dad doesnt have any pains. We make sure he has everything he needs to be comfy.
Hope you get better soon.....even if you did a few foolish things (didnt we all? lol)

Hi Freeman,
I really am getting old. I try to work out doing push-ups , jumprope and hula hoop but sometimes get a little lame with it. I actually feel guilty when I mis time. Ya the aches and pains are not fun for sure. I watched my mom who became so inactive that I'm so afraid of that.

Age can be a factor. But it could be other things that contribute as well. Diet for one. I used to drink a lot of diet cola. Even my doctor told me that the aspartame in the drinks was bad and can lead to arthritis type pain. Believe it or not exercise can help you not feel so sore. My mother suffers from fibromyalgia. She told me working out helps with her pain.WHo knows with time maybe we all get a bit brittle

Hi Ersmommy. It is the way I treated my body when I was younger I was a dare devil. Heck I got into more trouble for doing silly things then I ever did for doing something bad. We do exercise every day today we cut a bunch of trees for fire wood for our brother. This was an all day thing. I have never drank sodas I have a kidney disease I have had all my life. So I don't drink a lot of anything that will mess up my kidneys. I am a water person I prefer water to any other drink there is. We have a real balanced diet we stick to my husband and I try not to eat fast foods and very little sweets we cook with olive oil to keep from those things that can hurt your diet. The doctor told me when I was younger I would have arthritis but I don't think that is what it is cause these aches and pains only happen once in awhile. Usually when it is pretty cold outside. I think it has a lot to do with the way I sleep. I wake up in a ball most mornings I don't know why but that is how I sleep....LOL

I had experienced that and that was when I was a bit younger than now. In my case maybe I had a difficult position while sleeping or had a horrible dream I had to toss and turn while sleeping.
Mostly the cause would be our sleeping position or our own mattress!

Hi Toniganzon. I don't get these too often. I work hard doing something everyday. I am hardly ever sitting down except early or late in the day or if it is so bad outside and we can't get out of the house at all. I sleep the same way every night always have always will I guess I wake up in a ball. Mattress is pretty new but the last one we had I couldn't sleep at all on it so we got a new one. Thanks for sharing my friend! Happy Thanksgiving!

It could be one of the reason. Another thing is that you might have eaten something that caused body to react that way. They say that as we reach early 40's, that's the time we should be careful in our eating habits cause cholesterol and uric acids and the like can rise. :-)

Hi Vangie and welcome to my lot. Have heard this all my life. Have always been careful on my diet. I don't like fatty foods, sweets, soda I love vegetables and stuff that is good for you. I have only one body and if I don't take care of it no one will. But you do have a lot of good points there. Thanks for sharing my friend! Happy Thanksgiving!

I must be getting old too, but at 77 I still enjoy working. Many people believe that they can keep in shape with the work they do, but it doesn't happen. To keep in shape you need to join a Gym. or a Yoga club. I work out with weights, and do yoga 5 days a week for 3/4 of an hour. The older you get, the harder it is to stay in shape, and the more work it is just to keep the muscles from wasting away.

Hi Barehugs. You are 77 years young. I will keep working till I pass on to the next life. We work out but it is with doing work we make things a work out. Today we cut fire wood and it really can be a good work out if you know which muscle does what. I lift with my knees not my back. We have a weight set. You are so right the older you get the harder it is to stay in shape. We keep our muscles working daily too keep us in shapen. This is just aches and pains from stupid stuff I did when I was younger. I left rocks that weight 100 to 200 lbs not evey day but when we see rocks that we can use we stop and pick them up and use them in our yard. Thanks for sharing.

I'm only 29 and have had this happen to me quite recently. I found that I was sleeping in a bad position. I had a sore back and neck mostly but had aching arms and legs to a lesser extent. I don't believe it is a sign of getting old most old people don't wake up feeling sore all over there is another reason for this. If you don't recover in a few days see a doctor. Another reason for waking up sore could be that you strained a few muscles. You may not know about it when you are working because your muscles are warm. Once muscles get cold (after a break or a sleep) then the strains can hurt and the pain can last a few days to a week or so til the muscles repair themselves. If that is the case I have used deep heat, a hot water bottle or a heat bag to put heat into the effected area and hence relieving the pain.

Hi Nobbsy. Your still young. I have hurt myself many times in my youth and I am paying for it these days. This is something that happens to me when it starts getting colder. But I have to keep working to keep from just laying around. I used a heating pad but I can't stand the heat for too long either. It is all my fault for not taking better care of myself when I was younger. Thanks for sharing.

What I can give you as a piece of advice is to take time to relax once in a while. A good massage can help or maybe do something you think is therapeutic for you. Sleep is very important and relieving yourself from any form of stress makes your life easier. I think stress can manifest itself through body pains we sometimes experience.

Hi Penrockerchic and welcome to my lot. You are so right we all need to relax once in awhile. I have those few hours before day light and a few hours after the sun goes down to relax but not when it is nice enough to get out and do some work. I think stress does cause aches and pains. But I don't really get too stressed about anything. I know that God will handle all my problems if I try to do what I can do myself. My husband would give me a massage if I asked him too.

im still young and dont know if its really because of aging is the reason. try to go see a doctor to know what really is in you. there are chances that you have german measles because when i had those, i got many red spots all over my body.

Hi Yanyanyow. Nope I did a lot of foolish things when I was young and got injured a lot of times so I know what the aches and pains are from. You better take heed and don't do things that will get you injured while you are young because when you get older you will feel those aches and pains too.
