Swity, I do not know your qualification. Do you think you are highly qualified than what your present job is needing. sometimes it make you depress in your work place.
It may be possible that you are not recognized in your job though you are giving a satisfied output. In most cases it happens swity. Do not bother about this and keep your effort as it is.
Sometimes what happens, if your friends get job with a higher payment, but you think he/she has a lower profile than you, then you will be hurted. It is the human tendency.
Before taking any decision analize yourself properly.
Best of luck

Switly, Analyze all aspects of the job before u start your new job. Do not decide the new job blindly. it may give you better salary, but not a better life. money is not everything in our life.
best of luck.....

hi switlyf! If you're still new in the company where you're working at, I guess giving yourself time to mingle and get to know your colleagues at work and see if the atmosphere changes. :) If you miss your former co-workers, then try to catch up with them again by meeting them up for dinner or something. :) Good luck on your plans, always ask your family, friends and loved ones for advice so they can help you decide on what is the best thing to do. :)

not much now. still okay but i'm getting bored maybe because people i used to talk with changed their shedules so i'm kinda left alone in my shift and has to work there talking to myself.
i'm actually thinkin of goin back to school.. maybe i could turn my attention to something meaningful aside from waiting for my restday so i could go out and drink. :)

In your current situation; you can answer your own question.
But one factor will have to retain in your mind; You can't continue to work in a workplace where you are no longer happy. It will not be healthy for you nor for those people surrounding you. You must be happy to be productive, if not there is no point in continuing because it will only make you prolong your agony over not being content in your work.

i work as a nurse here in saudi arabia and for two months that i have been here i cant complain. i get to mingle with different people of different nationalities and interests so my immersion in their culture is very interesting. also i get paid with doing a job that is not that demanding, who wouldn't want that.

yeah, if you are not happy, why are you still working there. could you let me know where are you now? maybe working abroad is a good way to improve yourself and you can communicate with different people. The most important is to find the real happiness in your work, you know, working is part of our life. we need to face it every day.

If you have a plan to work abroad I think that you should pursue it. I believe that new environment and new job opportunities will motivate you to work harder and not get bored with your life. You are getting burned out from your current job and that's a big reason to move on and find a greener pasture or a happier one.

same here, i am working as a technical support rep but for DSL account for 4 years now.
I can't say i am happy (being a tech support is so much stressful, you know) but i can't also say i am not either (i love all those out of town team building and pizza party).
this is my first job since i graduated from college. a lot of people is asking me why i am still with the company/account when there are way way better options out there, for sure ill find a better deal. i really don't know why i am so hesitant to leave. most of my friends and wave mates already resigned years ago and even my previous TLs... they're all gone, they are now in some BETTER place.
maybe i am just too scared to leave my comfort zone. the company is like a home to me so i guess, i can say i am still satisfied here if not happy.
and like you, I've been thinking recently about working overseas but still, I don't know.

Hi switlyf, I'm no longer a full time working woman. I have my favorite part time work at the present moment. I'm quite satisfied to work in my office for a few hours during weekdays. I enjoy working there as I can manage to cope with my work without any difficulty. The environment there is comfortable and tranquil. Further more my colleagues there are friendly and helpful. I love to work in office with harmonious and pleasant atmosphere. we would grab opportunity to chat with topics and to share stuffs which interest us during our working hours as well. This could boost our energy to work efficiently in the office
Have a nice day

First of all think deeply about what you are feeling... Always try to do your job, whatever it is, with the presence of your mind. Don't think about others who working and earning more than you. You cannot read other's mind.
And after all you are not liking your job, first confirm which job will be suitable for you and then apply for that

Go home and think about your resume. At work get some good references. You are only a slave to your resume. Let everyone see it. You have a huge future. Take it's destiny into your own hands! Your job is only a portion of your life both now and on your resume!
