One of my favorite things to do is to find quotes, anecdotes and poetry that lifts my spirit up or makes my mind ponder. There are so many people we can learn from. So many cultures to experience. I wanted to start a discussion where many can come together to share their nuggets of knowledge and experience with others.
Here are two of mine:
"We lift ourselves by our thought, we climb upon our vision of ourselves. If you want to enlarge your life, your must first enlarge your thought of it and of yourself. Hold the ideal of yourself as you long to be, always, everywhere - your ideal of what you long to attain - the ideal of health, efficiency, success."
~Orison Swett Marden
"You are not here merely to make a living. You are here to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, and with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world. You impoverish yourself if you forget this errand."
~Woodrow Wilson
What are some of your favorites?

Here are my few favorite quotes:
Mother Teresa's quote
"Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing".
Try not to become a man of success, but rather try to become a man of value. ~Albert Einstein
Read this recently in newspaper.
"Politics is an honest effort to misunderstand one another"
and this funny one: "I was intelligent until education ruined me!"

I love the Mother Teresa quote. I laughed at the others.
Here's another I like:
"Give thanks for what you are now, and keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow." ~ Fernanda Miramontes-Landeros
