I will never forget the little people if I succeed!

That statement I am sure is what we all say when we think about whether we would become greedy and arrogant if we get an insane amount of success, basically if we strike it rich. Yet, I would imagine that pretty much everyone who has attained that level of success stated that very quote or some variation. They would never forget their friends and move up. Yet in the end, many people do. I would like to believe I would not but you know, I've never been rich or famous or both. Do we really know what we won't do until we are faced with a situation?

It does depend on the person. Some of us will be grounded. With the right upbringing we never forget. However, there are so many people who succeed when they work hard to prove something for whatever reason. Therefore, that attitude may lead to the situation. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

thats true what you say. everyone usually say that they wont forget their friends and their family if they become rich but the truth is that we dont know what we will do exactly but if we are good people for sure the money wont change us completely. about me i dont care at all if i give some of that money to help others and my family and my friend and save some. if im rich that means i have a lot of money so can help many people why will i want all that for me? im used to dont have much money so i wouldnt change at all ^^

Yeah I would like to believe that I could try and help. Then again, without that perspective, you could not really know. I doubt that I would ever know but then again you never know. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

proud is always the nature in the human beings... and it is what always make humans fall down after that... i can't say that i myself will never be a proud person if one day i become a successful or rich person... but i hope i will not as i had learn from my lesson that being proud will only bring you disasters and lead to failure... take care and have a nice day...

I actually don't really like the phrase, "When you're rich and famous, please remember me!" Well what if I never become rich and famous? Will you remember me? That to me is the more likely outcome. How many of us are actually going to make it to fame and success and how many of us are simply going to remain the little people? Do we remember the little people when they never get anywhere? Do you remember the sweet little girl who desperately wanted to dance on Broadway when she's 34 and has damaged her leg ligaments so that she will never be able to dance as well again? Do you remember the teenage basketball sensation when he's been rejected from his college team? Do you remember the the aspiring writer in the back room of the cafe when they've written dozens of novels and only have a pile of rejection letters to keep them company? I'm kind of changing the subject... sorry! I'd like to think that I'd remember the little people if I ever become successful, but right now I'm thinking it's more likely I'll wind up another soul with a lost dream. If I did manage to get to that dream, then I think that I would remember all my friends and family who helped me because I'll certainly remember what it felt like to have no hope of ever reaching that dream. But like you said... you can't really know until the choice is staring you straight in the face... which for some of us... it never will be.

That is very true. We have all of these dreams, all of these plans, but really there is a chance that we might not follow them. You never know what is going to happen until it actually does happen. We can only guess. Thank you for your response. It is much appreciated and it contributed to the topic well. Have a nice day and thanks.

that's honor, it's great to see there are people like you we can't surely forget of those who helped us or who are in need for sure

We used to be poor and my playmates don't even have food on their table, but when we got a richer life I still spend time with them. In fact until now I would visit their house and still converse with them like I used to before. So I think somehow I have proven to myself that despite my attainment in life I will never forget friends or small people because it's where I came from.

Not many people will become the top players in politics, acting or any career. But, they too should find company in whatever field, organization or group they play a big part in. For me, when I move away from a work place of nursing aides, receptionists or plumbers, I'm really going to be a limited friend for them. They know that I've moved out of their homely place, and going back for me might seem too much of a hurdle and might bring me to colleagues that don't show you their faces. But, I do believe that each employee should visit their old friends at least once.
