Here in the UK it seems like everytime it snows madness takes over. Everyone goes crazy! In my area today we had our first day of snow, and I took my mother up town to do some shopping and there had already been a mad dash, there was no bread left in the shop and very little milk left, the snow wasnt even an inch thick, and people had already started stocking up. You also find here that things just stop, people dont like leaving their homes and cars get stuck on roads, as we are not prepared for massive amounts of snow. I know in other places there is more snow, so people are more used to it, so are you used to snow? Does it affect your day?
I love the snow by the way! Its so pretty, and it feels really christmassy when it is here!

It's the stocking up of food and things that really annoys me. God help us if we ever had to ration food like during and after World War 2, we wouldn't be able to cope with it!
Last winter we ran out of salt (you know, the stuff you put on food) and couldn't find it anywhere. People had been stocking up on it to chuck on their driveways and they probably weren't even going to work anyway.
You've probably guessed by now..snow isn't my favourite thing..but I used to love it.

Yeah, I was in the supermarket today and there was no salt left, and hardly any bread or milk, people go crazy, and most of what they stock up on probably doesnt get used as it probably goes out of date anyway.

Exactly! I mean, Police in some areas are advising people to stay indoors tomorrow but they won't..there will always be some idiots thinking that "it doesn't look too bad" and get stuck in the snow.

Well, I'm not used to snow, as where I live it is a really uncommon thing to see snow. Last winter it snowed, but even if the streets turned white, the roads were cleaned of snow quickly and nobody had to worry about not being able to go to the supermarket to find food
I like snow in pictures, as it's so white and beautiful, but I hate it in real life, as it's so cold, and when it snows it means that you're going to freeze the very moment you go outside. I really hate that

So you probably get lots more snow than me but it doesnt really change anything, as soon as the snow starts to stick here everything goes crazy, because we are not good at dealing with it.

So you dont get much now? From what my parents tell me there used to be loads more here years ago. But I think in the past couple of years we are getting more than we used to.

we have snowed for several times here in the north of China.and it seems like that it will not stop in the coming day.the weather gets very cold accompany with the snow.it is hard for us to walk out and we just stay at home when it comes a snowstorm.i like the white world which is fulled with snow.it looks so beautiful and in my eyes the winter is not a really winter if there is lack of snow.

I love the snow and agree with you, its not a proper winter if there is no snow!

We don't have winter season. too bad. it's tropical here shocking but what we experienced is some crazy hail storms. I was like, here. where its always warm? Crazy in a way that it looks harmless but it's as hard as a stone. anyway i'd like to breathe some cool and crisp snowy air someday.

It doesn't snow where I live. It's only ever snowed twice in my whole life, once I missed it because my glasses broke and by the time I put them back together, it had all melted away. The second time it stuck for about a week and I thought it was absolutely wonderful. It was so pretty and sparkly.

Oh thats a shame, though at least people wont be panic buying near you. I do find it funny when people go out and buy lots of bread and milk because they are worried about snow!

It affects me big time. It's like snowmen with knives are chasing me.
