People are already playing those christmas songs in the shops, on the tv and the radio.I myself prefer the older christmas songs, however there are always new songs every year that qualify as a christmas song.Lets hope that this year the christmas song is better than a few in the past years.

I don't think Christmas is just for children! It's for everybody! Even though I'm an adult and don't shop as much as I used to, I still love Christmas! I love the carols, the decorations, the get-togethers, the gifts, everything about it!

Hi jugs! They have been playing Christmas Music in the stores since the beginning of November here! They started right after Halloween. It gets earlier every year. I'm just not ready until Thanksgiving! I bought 2 Christmas CD's today. One is by Gloria Estefan and the other is by Christina Aguilara. They both have great voices so I'm expecting them to be really nice to listen to!

Yes, I hear it everywhere, but I'm glad. I love Christmas music and sometimes play it in the middle of summer. I can think of a lot worse things to have to listen to when I'm shopping or standing in line. The old songs are still the best in my opinion, but there are some good newer ones, too.

I know I myself also love Christmas songs but sometimes on the radio they just play the same three or four songs over and over and over again. I mean I know that there are tons of other Christmas type songs out there not just the typical ones that you hear in the mall or on the radio. I sure hope that this year there will maybe be some more up to date songs and of course some of the classics as well wouldn't hurt just not repetitively.

I agree. There is at least one radio station playing nonstop Christmas music now. I have a bunch of cds of Christmas music. My husbamd likes country music so that is what is on in the car. I'm not crazy about it but some of the singers are good. I'm just more traditional. I used to love the Perry Como Christmas shows. I've got a couple of Christmas cds by Barry Manilow. He arranged the songs and they are a very nice take on the traditional Christmas songs.

You are just now starting to hear Christmas music? That definitely isn't the case around here at all. You see, we have a local radio station that starts playing all Christmas music all the time around the middle of November. That, I think is too early and the fact that I saw a Christmas tree up in Wal-Mart on the first of November was unacceptible in my opinion as well. However, now that Thanksgiving has passed, I'm okay to hear some Christmas music, but I've yet to hear any new songs so far.

Hiya jugs, Still singing Carols to myself right now. I love those older Songs and Carols too. O Come O Come Emmanuel is one of my Favourites of all time although I love most of them. "Hark The Herald Angels Sing" is my other and "It Came Upon A Midnight Clear" too. The Three Kings Day was celebrated here yesterday. The same as in Poland the night before they had big parades around the Streets of the City dressed as the Three King or "The Magi" as some would call them. Some of the Processions are quite fantastic to see. So Christmas only ended here yesterday really. Most Spanish Children have their Presents on that Day the 6th of January each Year. They prefer it to Father Christmas.

Hee hee - I like the classic ones too! I have a CD with some crazy Christmas song reditions by modern musicians - some of it is good and some of it is pretty terrible! Maybe we're just used to tradition, and sometimes it's hard to get used to new traditions. Ahhh - sometimes they need to leave well enough alone!!

When I hear the old Christmas songs, I am always reminded of the times when I was little. When we didn't have too much of anything. When my parents bought us some little presents which still made for a wonderful Christmas. And then we would have our Christmas dinner as a family. It was simple and memorable. And those old Christmas music would always be in the background.

Right, christmas songs are playing everywhere now, from shopping malls to shops in the neighbourhood, everyone are into the christmas mood now. I like christmas songs especially those old songs because it feels more authentic compared to those new ones. Christmas songs are never boring to me even decades down the road because it holds a special meaning to me.

Hi jugsjugs, Yes the time of year has come again when everyone is playing Christmas music. Personally, I think that they start the music far too early in the stores and malls. I too like the older Christmas songs but some of the new ones are okay. When I was a kid there was almost nothing before Christmas but people celebrated the twelve days of Christmas. Blessings.

I don’t mind the old Christmas Carols at all and I am hearing them in the stores and on television too. I haven’t heard too many new ones as yet. We have Carols by candlelight on T.V. on Christmas Eve every year and a lot of starts appear with a Christmas song and it is then that we are bound to hear something new. The old ones are still my preference.

I am like you, jugs. I just don't want to hear Jessica Simpson whining about Christmas....or the Backstreet Boys, Beyonce or especially Christina Agulara. But then again I also don't want to hear Jim Reeves either. I love Kenny G...he is just so relaxing....but the stores want something up-beat...so they can people to buy things and be in a happy mood. lot of the new songs aren't about the Reason for the Season anymore either.

We have a local radio station that started playing Christmas music about 3 weeks ago. I don't mind listening to a bit of Christmas music but 24/7 gets a bit annoying after a while. I can't believe all the Christmas t.v. programs haven't come out yet. That is what drives me crazy. I love some of the classics but how many times do you have to what It's a Wonderful Life and Christmas Story? It gets annoying when they repeat it over and over again.

I absolutely love this time of year. I'm in the Christmas spirit. Love the malls, the smells, the music and the fact people seem to be much nicer around Christmas time.
