article about Mylot I have ever read. He even has the nerve to call it a "how to" guide but no where in the article does he give you instructions. Ever heard of levels on Mylot? I do give him credit for stating it does take a lot of work to earn on Mylot but $10,000? What a bunch of bs. I honestly think he put $10,000 in his title to catch peoples attention to read his article. He is making money from the "views" on AC but there is NO content in this article. Anyway, here is the article. What do you think? Would you be disappointed reading this?

That guy is so funny, LOL, "make 1 to 10 cents per response". If only it was that easy. The fact that myLot will not pay you less than a cent if your response is three to four lines long is terribly inaccurate. Hey, did you realize that I just made a cent because look how many lines I have! Yes, his title is a catchy phrase to get people to look at his article. His article is totally BS and I totally agree with you. What's more is that I cannot believe the comments given to that article. They are too positive.

He obviously does not spend a lot of time on mylot. Otherwise he would have seen all the posts of complainers not earning more than one penny for several posts. No one knows how mylot calculates the earnings and they keep it that way for a reason. This guy was not even close to figuring it out. Those comments are from people who probably never used mylot and looking forward to making their $10,000.

Wow thank God I never saw that before I sign up as I would have really quit right away as it is so misleading.
Yes you can earn while posting, no doubt about that, however as active as I am on here I am not even 1/4 close to what he talks about. This is the information members are getting and that is why myLot is filled with members posting so much rubbish, however these are the same members who leave us more quickly then we can keep up with them.
I have so many friends on my lists who spend a great deal of time posting started discussions, something like 10 - 20 in one sitting then never come to respond, funny how they seem to disappear after only a couple of days. I am going to see if I can search this member on here and see if in fact he is active as he claims. If I find something I will get here to post my results.
Just out of curiosity and see if he had that many followers like himself. Oh before I forget the other day I posted a response to a member asking for myLot success, and it was not even a full minute that mysd contacts me to read a response, it was my exact response word for word verbatim.. Oh my God, and he also placed the same response to two other consecutive message.. Well he is gone now, as plagiarism is a big no, no.. Why can't people be themselves, as this would be the greatest success...

Its VERY misleading and just makes me sick. I remember years ago signing up with mylot and then quitting after one month because the earnings were so low. You said, its stuff like this that brings all the spammers and scammers. Even with a huge downline I dont think its possible because you cant control how many posts your refs do. Whats the point of starting a discussion and never responding? I honestly try to respond to all my posts even the lame ones.

Okay it was not difficult to find who that was, and if I am correct this member has not been active for over a year.. I am going to Pm you and you can see by the way a great many members on his friend list have zero posts. Shows how what you put out on the internet is definitely misleading and will be endless for members to still get the wrong idea.. too funny.

Herro sergeantrom
YIKES, when I read this article, I immediately tried to contact author. It is a yahoo article and I cannot comment as I am not a Yahoo Contributor. So I poked around and found him. I left a message that I would like to discuss mylot with him.
He has us posting 1000 per day, as part of his formula. That's all I'll say.

I didnt even waste my time trying to figure out his so called calculations. I could not get past the "how to" guide statement. Contributor? Is that what yahoo calls thems? He is most definitely a contributor of garbage thats for sure. 1000 posts per day? Thats a darn full time job!! Yeah we all will get right on that if thats what it takes to make $10,000. Give me a break.

I couldn't help it, I read the article thoroughly & I commented on it...I used my mylot username as my name over there so you know which comment is mine...I agree, it is bs...yeah, he does have a system on how to earn that money but you would probably have to work 24/7 for a whole year on this site alone

Appreciate your honest opinion, we all do. You know, thats probably exactly what hes doing, looking for referrals. Too bad his referrals will quit the first month when they dont make their $10,000.

Well he did give some points on how it could be achieved but not a lot of detail for sure and I doubt if even he has followed through and earned $10k. While in theory it could be possible, the amount of time it would take would probably be years that most people would not be willing to invest. This is not meant to be a full time gig. It is supposed to be a way to meet people, have fun and make a few bucks to go along with it.

Now your comment is a refreshing point of view. Now that you mention it, one could probably make $10,000 on mylot in many years like you said. I guess theres a grain of truth in his article.

It's a very poor article which is actually sneering at MyLot and its members big time. The guy has an axe to grind. Pity he didn't grind it BEFORE he wrote the article: his wit might have been sharper!
Of course, making $10,000 on MyLot is child's play ... IF you have enough years left in you to post a million responses of 'not less than four lines'.
According to Mr "Pompous-Jello"'s logic, four lines is about 100 words. Allow typing time of, say, 2 minutes and maybe another minute for choosing a discussion to respond to, thinking (barely necessary, perhaps) and so on. To be generous, let's allow four minutes per response/comment. That is 15 responses an hour and, given a 10 hour day, 150 responses a day. A million responses would take you a little over 18 years working full-time, every single day (he cunningly doesn't say how long he expects to take over the task). If you allowed 20 years (for illness, time off and holidays), that is a massive return of $500 a year!

If one were a 'response freak' (as you'd have to be), picking discussions to respond to is quite quick. Each page contains 10 discussions (in whatever screen you're looking at). If you chose 'my interests', there would be a fair chance of seeing, say, five suitable discussions per page and you'd use the 'Next' button at the bottom to flick through pages and open, say 20 discussions in tabs at a time. This shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes or so.
Once you have 20 tabs open, you just work on each one, post and go on to the next, leaving the 'select tags' and 'join interest' (if you weren't already a member of that interest) till later. I haven't actually tried and timed it. I might just do that one day to see what happens. If you were REALLY cunning and chose discussions which needed very similar responses, you could use an article spinning software to generate multiple differently worded responses.
20 years is still a pretty fair estimate, however, for a return of 'several thousand dollars' (maybe 7 to 11 k).

Wow, you really went to town on those calculations. It sounds soooo easy. Who the heck needs any time off? One minute for picking a discussion??? Thats the hardest darn part especially in MEM. As you know, sorting thru all the mindless posts is hard work. We need to get paid by the hour for this!!!

I have read the article and this is extremely misleading. This type of posting is dishonest and selfish. This is a means of discrediting the use of this type of medium. I am glad that you have seen it and have brought it to uor attention. May I use this opportunity to say thatmy lotters have been very honest so far in their advice. Congratulations. I have heeded some of the ideas and I have seen them at work. Let us pride ourself in saying the right things so that others will be inspired to work and reach a state of satisfaction.

Level 1: $0.01 x 10 posts = $0.10

Ugh I just read this article and it makes no sense at all. 10,000 dollars is unrealistic. I commented on it telling him how unrealistic he is with this. Even if a person made 10 dollars a month it would take 1000 months to get there and thats what about 83 years or so. I dislike when people write something completely wrong. I mean has anyone ever gotten 10 cents for a response or photo or even earned money for sending private messages to someone? Oh look I must have made about 2 cents with this reply.

Good day sergeantrom,
That is too funny. Who could ever post that many articles in a month! Couldn't post that many in a life time. I have been a member with mylot for over 5 years now and I am no where near that, as you can see by my number. I used to be really active here in mylot, when I first signed up I wasn't working so I had all day and I spent all day here.
I would post about 100 postings a day and it would take me about 8 hours to do it so it would be impossible to do those kind of numbers. We members here in mylot know that of course, but newbies that read that wouldn't know and would be in for a surprise after they post a few.
Cheers and happy mylotting my friend ,
chris

No one knows about the exact algorithm of myLot except the admin and all the staff of myLot. Maybe that post might help but not at all. If we think that if we can post a huge number everyday without thinking the quality of our post it's useless. The most important is the quality. Even you post 20 to 50 everyday and it has the quality you can earned big rather than post alot. So far, base on my observation in all the members here no one earned more than $10 a day.

What a nut case! I would love to know who this guy is...if anyone finds out, please PM me. It is articles like this that give such a bad reputation to paid social sites. They try to get all kinds of referrals, and then after a month or two of not getting anywhere near $10,000, he would have no referrals left anyways! Where I don't write for AC, I am surprised that they would even allow such a false article like that!!
